"I've ridden the 40 miles from my place to this dealer a few times now.  They are not the closest mainstream HD dealer to my house (4 others are closer). But the service manager and mechanics actually know what they are doing. Service and a good job is what counts with them.  They undid the many problems introduced by service at another shop, redid the work and did it all for a lot less $$$ than I had paid the other guys.  It is nice to find service guys who aren't 19 and just finished their training!" - WH 07/05

"My first Harley was purchased at Kamloops HD a year or so ago. Great people that make you feel at home in their dealership. No high pressure sales and each employee, from all the departments, went out of their way to get answers to my questions. The shop did a very good job of installing my Big Bore stage 2 kit as well as the removable Tour Pack with associated wiring disconnects on my FLHTCUI. Service has been good and has kept me on the road for a first season of 22,000km with no problems at all. I still feel like part of the family a year later when going in to just browse around. "This dealership provided the absolute service I have ever received.  I was at the Canadian HOG Rally in Penticton in June 2002 and decided I would take advantage of a service shop that Kane's had set up and get my oil changed.  So, I did this and was on my way....That evening, I felt my clutch start slipping.  The next morning my clutch went out.  Thanks to another biker, I got it adjusted and headed straight for Kelowna to Kane's shop.  When I arrived, I told them I thought my clutch had burned out...could they check it and, if necessary, replace it.  They told me it would be about 3-4 hours.  So my girlfriend and I went to a movie and came back.  They told me that they adjusted the clutch and it was fine.  Happy on not having to purchase a clutch, I was on my way.....10 miles down the road and my clutch went out again.  Same problem.&nbs! p; I called the shop and told them.  They asked me what I wanted them to do about it.  I replied that I brought my bike in and they told me it was fine and now I was on the side of the road.  The person I spoke to asked where I was and I told him.  He said, "Okay, hold on" and hung up.  Over an hour later and I was still sitting on the side of the road.  Another biker loaned me his cell and I called again.  This time the person told me that their truck wasn't in town and they didn't have a clutch for my bike anyway.  Nice that they told me that when I first got there.   The only thing right was they referred me to an Independent shop (Excaliber).  I called that shop and they said come right down.  I got some help getting the clutch adjusted enough to get there.  I got there and they were great...got my bike right in and replaced the clutch quickly.  Not only that, but the guy that fixed it told me that I w! as down almost two quarts of oil, and that probably contributed to the clutch going out.  Oil I had just had replaced by....dum dum dummmmm  Kane's!   So, not only did they not fix the problem, they probably caused it and left me on the side of the road!!!!!   And when I tried to seek some kind of apology or reimbursement for work not done?  All I got was a message on my voice mail saying sorry about that!" - TW 01/03

"Summer of 04 I was nearing the end of 3000 km run. We had a new tire put on in Victoria at Steve Drains that went very well. They even noticed some bolt heads on the V-Rod that had been ground off from cornering and replaced them for free. We left Kelowna for the ride back to Calgary and got just past Vernon and my Primary belt broke. I phoned Kane's in Kelowna and they said they did not have the part and that it would be 2days to fix the bike so I asked who else could do the work and they gave me the name a of mom and pop bike shop near Salmon Arm called J&D Performance. J&D sent a pick up right away and did a great job on my Twin Cam. This was the first time a Harley Dealership has given me the brush off in many years and ever since then I have been using small private shops for all my bike needs." - CA 04/05

"You have to be careful with this dealer. I priced out 3 full floating brake rotors here and was quoted a "special" season end price that was over $100 higher than the regular retail price at another dealer where I purchased the same part numbers. I also asked about my oil temperature dipstick with lighted LCD and got some real attitude because they thought I didn't know how to remove it! Turns out that I had an older model with out the roller balls that are turned slightly to remove and they were wrong! I solved my own problem by learning how to replace the battery on my own. I've returned several times thinking I was hitting bad days or something but this dealer has been consistently unhelpful and expensive for anything more than routine parts pick up like oil and filters." - RL 06/06

"Kane's has been a great dealership to work with. I have no complaints with their work and even the costs have been reasonable to me. Their work did not have to be re-done and they had the bike ready and waiting for me on the day that they said it would be ready. They also are very nice to deal with whenever I call with a service question or when I come to the shop to buy parts, accessories or clothing, etc. I never feel pressured or ignored and they have never made me feel like I am an idiot even when asking very tedious questions about my bike and its issues. They have always gone above and beyond for me. Kane's has never made me feel like they were ripping me off in any way and so I will continue to have any major issues dealt with by Kane's. "I can't see how ANYBODY can have a problem (real or imagined) w/ Kanes HD? Every dealership has a bad day now and then, but in the 2 years that I have had the pleasure of dealing w/ Kanes, I leave EVERY single time drunk, happy and well cared for: I'm "family" as they put it! From the gearbox Chief right down to the stock boys and accessories Dragon, the Mom and Pop service I get from this dealer is truly a delight! And the icing on the cake is EVERYONE there is highly competent at their career. Parts Manager even drove down to the shop at 10:30 one night from home to put my bike in the shop so I wouldn't have to tow it to my house & back cuz of lost keys & a dead battery; it cost me a case of crappy beer, but u CAN\"T put a $$ on that. "This dealership bundles document ($50), freight ($225) and assembly fees ($120) into a single $750 charge. As I figure it, this is roughly $355 over MSRP. This is a flat fee, nothing special is required to establish this price. If one were to go by price listed on the bike in the showroom and painless, hassle free transaction, this is by far the best opportunity in the 100 mile radius around the Portland, OR metro area. This dealership also beat the best internet prices on my accessory list. Dealer preparation of the bike was excellent. The bike was in pristine condition and had .7 of a mile on the odometer when I picked it up. Two thumbs straight up." - KD 10/04

"Hardcore guys! These guys have been around for a long time. The building is way too cramped though. You can hardly move for all the inventory of bikes in there. Prices seem a little higher than normal. Staffs ok if you can handle the rough around the edges, stereo typical biker types. Can't speak to quality of service dept though, never had my bikes worked on there. "Great people!  Last February (03) I got a fantastic deal on an old stock, but new, FLSTC which blew the socks off any deal I could make from the H-D dealers in Edmonton (new or old stock).  The staff at H-D of Winnipeg were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.  I had the bike crated and shipped to Edmonton with absolutely no problems.  Now that I've had the scoot for a bit, and have completed all of the scheduled servicing myself, I realize that this dealership took extreme care when performing the pre-delivery service.  Not one bolt was out of torque, not one adjustment left unchecked; basically, everything was perfect.  I believe these people." - CE 05/04

"Visited this Dealer on July 15th, 2001 for Harley Demo Ride. Had the opportunity to ride an Ultra Glide, Standard as well as a Heritage Springer (my personal favorite). Thanks Harley Canada. Rode for 3 1/2 hours in the early morning and spent several hours at dealer waiting for my turn. A pot of coffee would have been a nice touch! "Initially I didn't want to work with J.H. Stewart Ltd. because they were quite far from my town. However, after months of trying to get any type of action from the other dealers I decided to give J.H. Stewart a chance. Unlike many of the other dealers, they were able to provide me with a price in a timely fashion and the buying experience was good. I'd also like to note that when I added my first batch of accessories to the bike the wrench stayed late to get the job done and was pleasant the entire time. "I called in by phone and with in minutes had an invitation to come watch a bike be final assembled (lucky day). Was greeted by finance rep who then hooked me up with a salesman they have bi- lingual service. Picked out my model had to order it in my color but was treated like a prince. Was given MSRP on the bike and discount on add-ons. Was taken around and introduced to the different folks working the different dept's. A real blast, still drop in weekly for a chat and a visit. Then in 2006 I went back and traded in my Sportster for a new 06 Softail. Still being treated like a prince. Oh ya check out the new showroom and increased sales staff. I bought a 96 XL 1200 Custom and a 03 FXD Superglide and both times they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. This dealership is 90 miles from my home in Moncton and I go there for parts and to buy bikes because the dealership in my home town (Toys for Big Boys) ignore me every time I go there. "To make a long story short, the heat shield on the pipe of my FLHTCUI fell (after market pipes). This caused extreme heat near the master fused relay so it would trip while riding killing all power to the bike, therefore shutting off the motor. Very dangerous on the 400. The guys at H_D Barrie went out of there way to put me back on the road the same day, even though I didn\'t have any appointments. They fixed the problem and sent me on my way without emptying my wallet. After all I was in a bind. I was totally amazed by their courteous service. Barrie H-D is the best dealer that I dealt with yet. Too bad I\'m 400 miles from them. Keep up the good work H-D Barrie." - AR 02/07

"I purchased a 2004 Ultra Classic on EBAY that was located in Peterborough, Ontario. I live in Burlington. I was looking for a dealer to do the service work and tried Pooles in Hamilton as it was the closest. They always seemed to be so busy and booking so far ahead for service.
I then checked Kitchener. I now go there for all my service and accessories. They are under new management that has had a lot of business experience and know how to treat a customer. They are so friendly, I feel part of the family. The owner even let me sit at his desk while I\'m waiting for my bike to be serviced. They squeezed me in to accommodate the installation of a new rear tire and rear brake pads on a Friday so I could go on a weekend Bike Rally later that day! I now know the employees so well I feel this will be a H/D lifetime relationship and worth the trip to KITCHENER! They are happy owners and employees and it reflects on there interaction with clients and prospective clients." - GS 10/05

"I purchased a 04' FLHRS from Davies Harley Davidson in Richmond Hill Ontario in 2004. In the summer of my throttle cable broke in my hometown.  I live 9 hours away from the shop where I purchased my ride, when I contacted them to see if they could send me the cable so I could fix it they told me I had to bring the bike in to get it fixed.  I try to explain my situation because the bike was out of service and would need to trailer it down just for the cable but they would not accommodate me.  I then contacted The Shop in Lively and explained them my situation and without hesitation they offered to send me the cable to my house and all I had to do in return was send back the broken cable after I changed it.  I had previously ordered parts from them and service was excellent. I visited their shop a few times and salesperson and parts and clothing department were very friendly and helpful.  I would recommend them to anyone for any type of purchase or services." - LB 05/06

"I called these folks from the side of the road after hitting a deer. They offered to come and get me, I was still in the States, and asked about my condition. The Service Department assured me they\'d do all they could to help me. I had incorrectly estimated my time on the road to their shop, crossing into the Central Time Zone cost me and I got the once over at the boarder. The fellow in the Service Department had stayed late to wait on me. Gave me tools to use and found the parts, searching through a used bin even, to repair the lights on my King and get me safely back on the road. Sure was a pleasure dealing with the folks there and look forward to the opportunity of visiting them, under better circumstances." - JL 07/05

"I was a little upset after finding that my bike had developed a leak from the front rocker box gasket.  My bike was about 6 weeks outside warranty when I noticed the leak, and had only about 6500 KM (around 4600 Mi). I brought the bike back to the dealer (Toronto Harley), to see if anything could be done, and they said they'd call Deeley Imports (who apparently handle the warranties for the motor company in Canada). To make a long story short, Deeley's did a Good will warranty on my bike, and paid for the parts and labor to have it fixed (even waived the deductible). I'm very pleased, as you might expect.  Guess I'll be taking my scoot there for its next service." - SG 11/02

"It's with deep regret to add the following: The founder and owner of Robinson Motorcycles passed away Sept. 2003 of a heart attach while doing what he loved: riding his HD flat tracker on the Leamington Fairgrounds, preparing the track for the next days racing program. Hundreds & hundreds of bikers attended the funeral, followed by a very long parade to the remembrance ceremony at the cemetery which included a fly-over by his friends from the local flying club. The entire route was closed to traffic, manned by dozens of OPP officers, also showing their respect for a most popular motorcycle dealer who called his shop : The Largest Harley Davidson Dealership in Wheatly. (population about 2000) He was an avid collector of motorcycles, cars, tractors etc. and there is talk of converting one of the barns to a museum in his honor. The business will continue, of course, in the very capable hands of family members. Over the years this company has built a reputation that is "bar none" and an indication of this well earned respect  showed so well on the day of the funeral when the dress code of the day was a ROBINSON's T-Shirt!" - JB 11/03

Location on Campbell Rd. remains the same.  New name came with the new owners.  Red Rock Harley Davidson.  They have invested a good deal of time, money and resources to improve the stock, service, layout, facilities, premises in general, and ambiance.  They appear to be starting off on the right foot, and most of my contacts are very pleased.  Well worth a visit." - ZE 07/04

"In the summer of 2005 a small group of buddies and I , 5 Harley bikes riders and passengers stopped in 45 minutes before closing time to purchase T Shirts etc as we were visiting from another province. The little sales girl was great but the other staff had us on ignore , the only person of 4 staff who was allowed to ring in our order was "wish listing" with a buddy and a catalogue. We were not acknowledged or even spoken to as he kept avoiding eye contact. After 15 minutes the buddy left (no order placed no purchase made) I placed the three items I would have bought on the counter and said "maybe your buddy will buy them'. We left, no purchase made no order placed, however between the 5 bikes they lost around $350. in sales." - DH 03/06
