"Bought a 883 for the son. paid MSRP -$1000
because 07's were on the floor, financing was not part of the deal so it
is probably why. A friend called all dealerships in area and Maverick was
$1000 high on a 07 xl 50th anniversary edition. I went in to check
to see why the price dif at a "MSRP" store. They wanted my friend phone
number to tell him and find out what it would take to sell him a bike.
After the phone call happened, I wanted to know why for myself and was
told "we priced that way because it was LIMITED EDITION and if you found
it cheaper in CO than drive down there and get it". Guess its better
to drive down to Colorado to get the bikes." - RS 09/06 "I
didn't think it was possible but dealership management found a way to
surpass their dysfunctional service department, over MSRP pricing on parts
and accessories, and arrogant sales staff." - PF 04/08 |

"Having trouble with motor cutting out on the pulls in from Sheridan, so
wheeled into shop in Gillette. Had 1 bike in front of me in the service
line at 11:30 a.m. Was told 1-1/2 hrs. be back on the rode. At
5:30p.m.they came out to look at my bike. In the mean time just got double
talk. Determined it was and intake leak, but "too late in the day" to work
on, have to do it tomorrow. Arrogant, rude, OWNER, (owner was mechanic
too) ran me away from the service counter, saying if you stand there
people will think we are busy. Got the bike back at 2:00 p.m. the next
day, they wouldn't bring it around to the front of the store. When I went
to get it, the fuel line was broken, he denied having any thing to do with
it. Loaded it up and fixed it myself. H-D should be ashamed of dealers
like this." - DM 08/06 |

"I stopped while on my way to Sturgis. I needed a front brake switch that
went out that morning. They had one in stock, but I didn't have any way to
install it because of the soldering. I asked if it was possible to borrow
a soldering iron or I would do the disassemble/reassemble and have them
solder it (& pay them for their time). The manager (asked by the service
guy) if this was possible. They said the only way is if they do it (1 hr
work @ $65). I went to Casper, WY and borrowed a soldering iron from Radio
Shack and did it in less than 15 minutes. I was planning on buying other
items that I needed and T-Shirts at the Dealership. It was 9am and we were
the only ones in the dealership. Now I will NEVER step foot in this
dealership again." - CF 08/06 |
