"Top knotch dealer with
great sales and service. I shopped around the Washington/Virginia area and
settled here for the best price (actually under MSRP by about $400), on a
new Fatboy. They will haggle on price. I live 60 miles away and will
continue to patronize them. If you know how to haggle, this dealer is the
one to check out. I am an old scoot with over 30 years riding experience.
They get my seal of approval." - RH 05/06 "Had a flat tire when I
pulled in to work this morning, and called for a tow. The Tow came and
picked up the bike, no worries there. Once the bike was loaded, I called
Patriot (Their phones were turned off until 10AM) and was told "Don't
bother bringing it here. My mechanics only do service by appointment and
only on Tuesday through Friday. and I have a 3 week backlog of people who
made appointments." I am very displeased with the lack of willingness to
help a customer willing to spend money." - MS 06/06 "I bought a new
Sportster from them recently and was pleased to only have paid MSRP.
However, about two months later, the shift peg rattled loose on my ride in
to work. I called them and was told that I could buy a new shift peg. When
I complained that this was only a two month old bike and things shouldn't
be falling off, they told me that I was out of luck. I accepted this (how
much does a shift peg cost, anyway?) and got a ride in with a friend on my
lunch break to buy a new one. I explained myself to the parts guy there
and he told me I had to pay for my shift peg. Then, he tried to sell me
Loc-tite! Forget these guys, I'm going elsewhere in the future." - TI

"I purchased an 05 Road King Classic from this Stealer on
April 14th 2005, it showed 35 miles but they said they were selling it as a
new bike and that title would have 6 miles, and would have new 2 year
warranty. When my cam chain tensioners went out about 2 months ago, they
told me my warranty had expired, seems that they had sold the bike to
someone else before me in Sept-Oct 04 and the warranty started then. What a
BIG bunch of KRAP. I have had other issues with their service department,
but this is the issue which cost me over a grand out of pocket. I wouldn't
take a free bike from them at this point. I told the new service manager
that if he offered me free service for as long as I owned the bike, I would
laugh at him. Course he didn't take me up on it." - JP 11/06 "Sorry,
unmanaged dealership! Bought new bike, never received a thanks, no Hog
Membership, and I wonder about the rest of the paperwork involved with the
purchase...Service department is sad. Service manager may know what a
piston is but doubtful. Bike left dirty and oil was dripping from bottom
of engine after an oil change. Threatened with warranty of motorcycle if
not serviced there and if different oil used, doubt that they realize that
the threat is against federal law. Some good folks there but they are
worked to death by the inept ones! All in all, very poor. Not much
interested in any more visits of any kind to RHD. Southside is much the
same. Their problems must begin with an inept owner of the dealerships,
trickle down stupidity." - BC 10/07 |

"Took my new RKC with less than 300 miles on it to have the rear fender
replaced as a COD job. On their first attempt I noticed that the bolts
holding the left muffler to the support bracket were missing when I picked
the scooter up. The left muffler clamp also was swinging around the
pipe. Upon arriving home after those items were straightened out, I found
that all of the bolts in the rear fender struts were either loose or
stripped out. There were several marks in the paint near the edges of the
rear seat that had been caused by shoddy installation as well. On their
second attempt all bolts, clamps, etc were attached properly. Too bad
that I located some more scratches in the paint under the seat edge from
shoddy installation part 2. No attempts at making things right by the
dealer. No sorry about that! No cheesy little % off something, nothing."

"Purchased
the bike Nov of 2006. When service mgr. was going over operation of the bike
the fork lock would not work, so much for checking over the bike before
delivery. It took 2 mechanics 45 minutes to correct the problem. The bike
has been in for service numerous times for high idle issues, Waugh's answer
is to turn the idle down. With the bike not in gear, coasting down a hill
the idle will pick up 500 rpms, this is still a problem after 14K miles. At
8K miles the oil pump went out, Waugh's did drop everything and replaced the
oil pump within a weeks time. The sales and accessories staff is top notch,
I can not say the same for the service dept." - KN 11/06 "In Aug of
2006 I bought my Ultra Classic from Waugh's and I could not have been more
happy with the job that everyone involved did for me that day. I arrived
that morning and Mr. Waugh had the service department uncrate my Ultra and
assemble it while I waited. Lunch was provided for me and my wife as well.
Great job and will continue to do business there." - SV 02/07 "I
can't say enough good things about the people at Waugh HD. There are three
local HD dealerships that I could have gone to, but I chose Waugh which is
over 50 miles away. Why? The people there are welcoming, knowledgeable and
truly care about the customer." - LR 07/07 |

"They are a
top-notch dealer with a great sales staff. I personally visited the four
closest dealers to me and they all had the bike I wanted in stock. I called
all of the others in the state of Virginia and finally made my purchase at
Shenandoah H-D because of price and service. They have a HUGE brand new
dealership with lots of bikes in stock. All of the sales people are polite,
knowledgeable and seem like they really appreciate your business. I have
been in and out of there for about a year before I decided to buy and was
always treated with the respect any customer should deserve. My bike
salesman answered all of my "stupid questions" and made me feel like I was
family. The parts sales person took the time to go over the list of parts I
wanted and even helped me decide if I could install some them myself. There
was never any pressure to buy anything, just friendly people. Bikes are
priced at MSRP plus a $430 setup fee. No hidden charges or gimmicks. The
only other dealer to beat their price was the one in Roanoke, but that was
only by $180 and over the phone. When I mentioned this they threw in a $500
H-D gift card to be used at their store. I don't know if that is a standard
practice. I can't comment on the service dept. Seems to be as good as the
rest of the dealership. They do have one of the lowest shop labor rates in
my state. Over all a very pleasant buying experience. They will be my H-D
dealer for LIFE!" - TM 07/06 |

"I bought my 02 Harley FLHT from a private seller here in
Virginia Beach in January 2004, and have had all service done by South Side,
that I have been unable to do myself. I have nothing but praise for the
dealer, both service and parts. They have treated me right. I am looking to
buy a 2006 Ultra as soon as I get my FLHT sold. Sales has been very polite
and helpful to me, and have said that they will sit down and do there best
for me, as soon as I get my present bike sold, and am read to buy." - CW
04/06 "I have a 2006 Road Glide that I purchased from a dealer in MD. The
Road Glide has been serviced by Southside HD. Southside has done an
outstanding job in servicing the bike and taking care of any warranty
issues. The Service Manager and Service Writers have taken the time to
explain all procedures and their Customer Service has been exceptional! I
have purchased additional accessories and motorclothes and all sales
personnel have been very courteous and helpful! Their HOG Chapter and
members are great and their scheduled rides have been safe and fun! If you
own a Harley in the Tidewater Area, I highly recommend Southside HD!" - EF

"I purchased a FLSTFSE2 in Sept '05 from a dealer in NC. The sales people
actually helped me locate it, because they were not scheduled to get the
colors I wanted for several months. The parts guys have always been very
helpful. In several instances, they made recommendations that were less
expensive options than what I originally walked in the door considering,
and ultimately better for the bike and my needs. The service guys have
always been very helpful, repairing the bike on two separate occasions,
and both times getting it back to me by the date requested. I recently
moved, and I already miss the friendliness and helpfulness of this
dealership." - WM 08/06 "I bought my first HD from these guys after
many trips there shopping and comparing. The salesman spent a lot of time
with me. I bought my 05 Road King Custom. They held this bike for me with
no deposit for a week! A parts guy met with me and walked me through the
purchase and install of some items I wanted. ALL of the parts guys greet
me when I come into the dealership. A MOCO clothes person spent hours with
me trying on jackets and chaps. On another visit, I brought my 4 kids and
wife and more than one salesperson spent time with us while I got helmets
for the wife and one of my daughters. Service so far has been top notch. I
compared, the relationship I have had with my car dealer, who is the
dealer owner and a personal friend of mine. The experience at HRHD has
been very positive and I would recommend this dealer to anyone." - MF
02/07 "Fine dealership. These folks treat their customers like they
actually enjoy having them around and they are always finding some way to
give a discount. The cheerful attitude and attention details makes this
dealership a great place to shop or just visit. Their service department
is professional and a no foolishness shop with much talent and genuinely
interested technicians. They do very well at HRHD. You don't mind dealing
with genuinely good folks for very expensive (but the best) motorcycles
and accessories." - BC 10/07 |
