"I'm in the military and just arrived in the Ft. Drum/Watertown area. As my fairing was wrecked during shipping from Germany, I took a brand new N.O.S. '69 batwing fairing, primed from the factory to Iron Block to have it painted. Unfortunately, they told me they don't paint, didn't have a painter they use, and couldn't even recommend a painter in the area (suggested I look up a car dealer in the phonebook). "Hempstead Harley moved to Greatneck, so I decided to visit despite the below freezing temperature. I called to make sure that they were open and was informed that they were. I asked if they had coffee, but they told me the pot was empty and indicated no more to be made. On my Saturday, which the day was, visits to Hempstead or Bellmore there was always coffee to warm the chilled rider. Needless to say no visit at that time. I waited another week and went-coffee or not. I was very disappointed. Only a couple of the Hempstead staff remained. After being introduced to a few of the new personal, of which I felt no comrade or friendship of any sort. I asked to be able to go to the mechanics area. Immediately I was informed NO ONE ALLOWED IN SHOP AREA. I stated that I knew a wrencher and wanted to say hello-access granted. I like to check out a shop and meet mechanics working on my bike. I give praise where deserved, none for Greatneck. I doubt I will ever go there as a customer. Also: BEWARE make sure boots are dry they have a marble floor." - TM 03/06

"I stopped by Miracle Mile H-D to see this new dealership. I was greeted nicely and shopped for a few items. Well I asked if the service dept was open for business and was told yes. I asked if they could do a 2500 mile service and to my surprise I was told yes ! I was told if I wait a little bit they would do this while I waited, I agreed and continued to hang around. Well now after 2 hours my service is completed and I pay them and I go on my merry way THINKING wow this was great, I didn't have to leave the bike and I don't have to go out of my way to make a appointment. Well I start to notice a strange noise coming from the bike and really didn't think much of it UNTIL today. I stop at a friends shop and ask him to take a look at this bike to see what he thinks, well he looks at the bike and finds the inner primary chain has not been tightened, loose as a goose. Oil seems to be dirty, kick stand has not been lubricated the belt is loose and I paid a lot for a OIL CHANGE. I don't mind paying for GOOD service but to pay for a service and getting NOTHING upsets me. The guy who said he was the owner is a IDIOT. He is showing a bike to a customer telling him its a Low-Rider when in all actuality it was a Wide-Glide. I sat there listening to him telling this guy what a nice Low-Rider it was. If the OWNER doesn't know anything about bikes how do you expect the staff to know anything. Stay away from this place because there are much better Harley Davidson Dealers on Long Island." - SP 05/06

"I bought my Softail standard back in 02 in the hole in the wall Hempstead, paid 5k over list price, only to find out NYC sold a buddy of mines bike for 500 over list - SAME BIKE same pipes. Mad wasn't even the word. So long Hempstead You won't be missed. So when I decided to become a permanent customer at NYC I noticed a lot of changes since 02, new faces, new makeover and new attitude. Previous employees stealing and pretty much giving away everything, Thanks for the new pipes, right out the door, messed up as it may sound, I sure was happy. I thought by now this place was going out of business, Until out with the old and in with the new. This place really cleaned up, and things were really starting to run right, LOTS of old angry customers and employees who realized no more free rides-I bought a new bike from NYC and this time I didn't get ripped off. Nice job everyone-to the staff and sales who try to make everyone happy. I might not have free @#$% but you have my respect in having to deal with what you all inherited." - RS 01/06

"I cant say enough good things about this dealership.  I wanted a red 2005 Sreamin Eagle EG and found it there.  I live in Maine.  My brother in law test drove for me, the dealership sent pics via email. We agreed on a fair price.  They put a new tire on, saw that the rear brake was worn, replaced the pad at no cost to me. I had it delivered and it came damaged.  Most of the damage was by the done by the carrier, and there was a small amount of damage American missed prior to shipping.  They couldn't have been more helpful and honest.  The sales manager is as good as they get.  He made good on the damage his dealership was responsible for, and helped me to get the info I needed to get the claim in to the carrier. The sales manage r even called my local dealership here in Maine to help arrange for repair so that their end of it would be taken care of." - WD 04/07

It is a small shop but from the owner down the the staff members, they all treat you like part of the family.
