"I recently had my 02 V-Rod serviced here.  From the first time I walked in the door I was warmly greeted and welcomed.  When I explained I just needed a service the folks introduced me to the Service Manger. He was very helpful and eager to my needs with what I wanted done.  After dropping my bike off the folks in the parts and showroom were very friendly they had plenty of time for me.  They answered every question honestly and frankly.  Overall a very positive experience!  I would gladly make the four-hour drive to make this my new H-D dealership.  Thanks guys!  Also, all the bikes are tagged out the door price.  They are an MSRP dealer...worth checking out if you are in the market!" - RL 03/06

"Recently, after getting PO'd at Tilley's, I did some serious shopping around for a nice used touring bike.  I found a super nice one owner RK classic originally sold by CF and taken back in on a trade.  Not only was it 2,500 - 5,000 less than any other comparable used bikes I found at dealers throughout SC and NC the sales staff was very helpful and straight forward.  I made the deal on the bike on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and wanted to actually take delivery on Friday after due to no sales tax day in SC.  That wasn't a prob and they held the bike on my word, no money required.  When I went back to get the bike, everything was as it should be and the sales guy took time to show me every feature and gadget. Turned out I even learned some features my Sporty has that I had never realized before!  Very Good experience and they certainly seemed to have the best pricing around by far.  It was worth every bit of the 6 1/2 hour round trip to Cape Fear!" - GA 02/07

"I am a Marine stationed at Jacksonville. The local dealership likes to take advantage of the Marine\'s deployment money. They were asking 14,500 for a '06 Dyna FXDI Super Glide. I called Wilmington Harley they were a little cheaper. I called Harley Davidson of New Bern and They gave me an MSRP quote. We had everything done before I got there. When I got there all I had to do was sign and drive. Excellent service especially compared to the service at Jacksonville H-D. Harley of New Bern gleamed with what bring H-D so much success as a company. They earned my business." - DC 04/06

"Purchasing my new Ultra was a great experience, good deal with some negotiating. Great sales staff. Service is also very good, quality work. Down side of Ray Price? If you have any warranty work needed, you become the red headed step child in this family. I had valve seal issue with my 05 Ultra and when dealing with tech writers and service manager I felt like I was in a battle all alone. Not until I contacted HD customer service did I get the attention I thought I should get. Once we all got on the same page things went great. Service department now was working with me instead of against me and we got the valve seals replaced. RP then suggested a 95\" stage II kit & Power Commander, saved lots of $ because of the warranty work and also got all parts at a discounted price. End result, bike is better than ever and I again love these guys. I have about 2000 miles on the 95" and this big ole bagger rocks." - SB 05/06

"I have bought two new bikes from Ray Price and have thought that the new bike buying experience was outstanding. I bought an extended warranty and their "Preferred Customer Plan" with my second bike. I took it in for the first 500 mile check and every 2,500 miles since then. I now have 20,000 miles on my bike and the bike is one year old.  At no charge to me, they have replaced the front tire twice, the rear tire, adjusted my brakes a couple times and replaced the pads, replaced my shift linkage and shaft, clutch adjusted when I return from long mountain rides, my radio, cb antenna, and even changed a light bulb in my bat wing.  They even give me a rental bike to use when my bike is in the shop get service and detail the bike when it is finished. I recommend Ray Price and their service department. The extended plan should really be considered to anyone who buys a new bike and thinks that they may drive 7,500 miles a year or more. I have told many friends about the plan and the manager said that at Ray's you can come back and get a Preferred Customer Plan and extended warranty plan as long as your bike is still under factory warranty." - AA 02/07

"I have purchased 3 bikes from Ray Price H-D a RK which I only had for 4 months/10,000 miles. Had the "Preferred Customer" plan on all. Service is great. The second bike was a '04 Ultra that I kept for 27 months and totaled 74,000 miles. If you do the math and figure service every 2500 miles, tires and brakes, assorted light bulbs, cam tensioner shoes, etc. it was well worth the money. Third bike is a '07 Ultra purchased in Sept. '06 and just had the 12,500 service plus the SE/103" upgrade.  I have never had any problem with any of the Ray Price employees. The experience has been so enjoyable that I convinced my girlfriend to buy a used Low Rider 2 years ago and she is now considering replacing it with a new Street Glide. We enjoy visiting the dealership as everyone there from owners to the guys in the detail shop knows us by name and treat us like family. I suggest anyone in the market for an H-D should consider purchasing from Ray Price and if they ride more than 5,000 miles a year get the Preferred Customer plan." - LF 02/07

"I traveled 300 miles and passed 4 dealerships on the way up here to purchase my new bike.  There was a communication break-down with me and the salesmen who were setting up the deal thru email.  I drove up on a Sunday and their were no sales people working.  It was my fault that I had to drive back empty handed but the OWNER himself drove down delivered my bike right to me and gave me a free gift for being military.  Unbelievable!  Bought a new bagger for MSRP, free freight, free set up and got 15% off all the add-ons I bought that day. I'm so glad the days of $3-4K over MSRP are over (for those that do their homework). This is the way a dealer is supposed to be and then some.  Kudos to RMHD.  I'll never buy another bike from anyone else." - BW 02/07

"If you want to call a dealer your "home dealer" this is it!  I decided I wanted a 2006 FLHTCUSE. Unfortunately they had no more unsold units in their allocation.  The salesperson found me one at another dealer 50 miles away and got it for me at MSRP.  They did not make or ask for a dime. Did not try to talk me into something else.  I have bought two bikes from them in the past and will never deal anywhere else as long as I live in the area. Great service and technical advice." - MS 04/06

"After having a terrible time with another dealer, I checked your board and found several good comments about Tilley's. I tried Tilley's today, and I am so glad I did. Everyone was extremely friendly, and several went out of their way to make it a great experience. It all started with a friendly service writer who truly believes in the ability of her techs, to take care of my bike. I was lucky enough to have the shop foreman service my bike, and he worked through his lunch hour to make things quicker for me, since I had ridden in from another town. He found and fixed several adjustments that had been overlooked or ignored by the other dealer, (like a too tight bearing in the neck). The bike has never driven better. Thanks for providing this service, and thanks Tilley's!" - JH 06/06

"I took my '98 Sporty with less than 10k on it in for an inspection.  After a while, mechanic comes out and says there's a problem.  Go into the shop area and he says they here a knocking sound when they started up the bike.  He cranks it up and it sounds normal to me.  He's trying to get me to agree to them tearing into it as he says they have found several with loose flywheel/primary nut or something along that line.  I say no, get the inspection and leave.  Over the next several months, got that nagging feeling going on so I pull the side cover, no problem what-so-ever.  I did find one bolt missing from the horn mount and it did rattle against the frame at idle sometimes. Several thousands of miles later and it still running like new and no loose horn rattle either." - GA 02/07

" I shopped around several dealers for the best deal and information. I called salesmen from several dealers, none seemed to be as friendly as those from Gene Lummis and generally interested in answering our questions. We ordered a 2006 ultra glide from them and then received a call from another dealership offering us a better deal. We discussed this with our salesman and he matched theirs. We had several options added on to the bike, and the service dept. was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our overall experience with Gene Lummis was very pleasurable." - DS 02/06

"I bought the first new 06 Road King Classic sold out of Gene Lummus' new building. The store is nice and the salesman was great, however, on the ride home I thought I had a problem with the bike. The next ride was fine. On one ride another biker noticed the way the bike ran and told me about a service bulletin from Harley. After three different conversations with the service dept. and a mention of the service bulletin, they reluctantly set up an appointment for 8:00 in the morning to check the bike. I arrived at 7:45 and was turned over to the service manager who had me write down the problem. The bike was put in the back within plain view through the doors and sit for two hours, while other bikes were being serviced. Finally my bike was taken for a SHORT ride and parked by the back door where it sit until 1:00, at which time I asked about it and was told by the service manager that they "know I have a problem but it ran fine and they will check it again at the one thousand mile service". I could have understood and would have been okay with that if they had taken the time to try to find the problem. It was obvious to me that they had no intentions of trying to fix the bike and did not take my problem serious. Maybe they thought I read a bulletin and imagined the problem, but if the bike would have ran properly, I would have never known about the service bulletin. I thanked the salesman for his part but in my opinion, a dealer is only as good as the service dept. New service manager called  to inform me that they would like another chance to earn my business and informed me that the persons I had dealt with earlier are no longer employed there. He offered to do whatever it takes to fix my bike." - RM 05/06

"Incredible svc department!  Brother broke down on road and had bike up and running in 30 minutes (bad crank position sensor).  Next morning my bike had electrical probs and was towed (for free) to shop where they immediately went to work on it fixing a starter prob.  Starter housing was broken, and they referred me to a local welder to save $ and time over finding the part (only one was in KC).  Bike died 20 miles down road, and they towed me back (again free).  Grounding strap had torn, taking out VOES and regulator.  Diagnosed prob and got me back on road asap.  Svc mgr even loaned us his personal truck to use to get to hotel and to eat.  Best service department I've EVER seen.  Oh yeah, free beer too after shop closed. Great bunch of guys - wish they'd open a shop near me." - TP 09/06

"Excellent Service Department!  Service Manager took the extra steps to insure my satisfaction. Problems were under warranty that other dealers wanted to charge me to have done.  Great group of people - professional and friendly." - DV 06/07
