"I called this shop because it has a Dyno. I wanted to
see what my S&S 113 was putting out. (I just changed pipes, jetting,
sprocket and chain). He told me to "bring it on down". I did. I introduced
myself to the guy I spoke with on the phone and he said "lets see what 'ya
got". We walked outside and he proceeded to check the chain (he said it
was "too loose", checked the oil and said 'I smell gas in your oil"...
Funny, I just changed the oil and adjusted the chain and other things that
morning to prep for the Dyno. He then brought me inside and told me that
he needed to do 'a service' on the bike before we can do a Dyno run, which
we couldn't do today because he was busy. But I should drop the bike off
next week to do it. Possibly overnight! Hmm, this was getting interesting
, so I proceeded to make the appointment, trying to give him the benefit
of the doubt. He then wrote up a bill for $210 for the service and asked
me to sign it. I said I didn't feel comfortable signing a bill without
work being done and he said no problem. Just give me a deposit of $50 to
insure your appointment. It was at this point that I finally told him NO
THANKS and that I didn't think we would be doing any future business
together. But not as politely as that. And all I wanted to do was just
take a run on the shop Dyno!" - GJ 06/02 |

"I have been using EVO Cycles of the same address
since purchasing my Softail new. They have done all work including
souping up the 80" and then later on changing to a more powerful
113" engine. The merged with Easyriders, but thankfully the good
people returned and reopened under the new name in a larger building
next door to the original location. One bunch of great guys, and they
know there stuff and do excellent work." - RS 8/01
"When I was
ready to do the 883 conv I checked a few local shops and found that they
try to feed you info like you don't know anything and when I told them I
would be doing the assembly it really turned them off. These Guys took to
time to explain and discuss what type of mods I wanted to do, even giving
me some tips to make it run better. They treated me like I was a person. I
would recommend them to check them out. They have found a permanent
customer even though the shop is 25 miles from home and pass many other
shops, I will go no where else." - CJ 03/03 |

"This is a 'serious' bikers place, geared to American
made motorcycles. They specialize in high performance bikes, parts and
service. Louis is a biker from way back and knows what works and what
doesn't. His prices are typically better than dealer prices. The mechanical
work is done by Joe 'King of the Dyno'. This man call pull horse power &
torque out of a motor like few people can. If you ever want performance
work, good solid parts or just needed repairs, these guys are top notch."

Zack's V-Twin
Hyde Park, NY

"Wiped out on my 2003 FXD last week
avoiding a deer. Harley dealer said it would take a few weeks before they
could take a look at the bike. Went to my local indie, Zack's V-Twin...he
did the estimate, coordinated the whole thing with Progressive, and within
3 days of the accident, I had my check...I'd still be waiting to see the
dealer...Also, clutch handle got bent in the spill, not releasing the
clutch due to the cable being pinched...I had to use my fingers to pull
the handle all the way back...Zack saw the problem, heated up the handle
to free the cable, and now I can ride the scooter until the parts come in.
Zack rules! If you are ever in the Northern Duchess area of New York and
need a hand, go see Zack...he just moved into a huge new space, and became
an American Iron dealer...top notch people." - RM 04/03 |

"I brought my 01 Dyna Super Glide for a cam
upgrade to Rosa's on a recommendation. I visited the shop in February
this year and met with them. He told me that he would dyno tune the bike
before and after and that the work would take 2 days. I brought my bike
to him in mid March and he delivered everything as he said he would. He
sat me down for about 20 minutes when I went to pick it up and went over
the dyno slips. He was in no hurry to take my money and rush me out of
his store. My bike was washed and detailed after the work was done. For
any future upgrades and service I know where I will be taking my bike.
It will be Rosa's." - DR 8/01 |

"Brought my '94 Sportster 883 into them to do 1200
conversion. Let me bring in all my own parts. All machine work and
fabrication was done on premises, from boring my cylinders to dual
plugging my heads. My bike went in like a lamb and out as a lion! If you
want expert work and great prices these guys can't be beat!" - RW 04/02 |

"I brought my 2001 Fatboy to South Shore Cycle for some
minor chrome upgrades. After speaking with the owner I decided to upgrade
my carb and exhaust. The work was preformed perfectly and the bike runs
fantastic. It was returned to me quickly and with out a spot on it. I have
found a new home away from home for my bike." - RJ 9/01 |

"I ordered a Screamin' Eagle slip on pipe for my '02
883R from the dealership that I purchased the bike from and they told me
that it was back-ordered a month and a half. I then moseyed down to Hyde
Park Cycle and ordered a White Bros slip-on. A week later the owner said
that they had sent him the whole system instead. So, because of my
inconvenience, the owner gave it to me for $100.00 less than book price
and installed it for free! They're a friendly bunch willing to help you
and I would highly recommend Hyde Park Cycle." - EB 08/02 |
