Smiley's
Charlotte, NC
"Smileys is an honest clean one man shop.  He's worked on my 83 shovelhead and has *always* done a fantastic job.  He's not the fastest around, but his work is well worth the wait" - DM 08/02

"I have been going to Smiley's since day one when his shop opened.  He has worked on two of my bikes.  He has fixed my bike after another shop messed it up.  He is honest and down to earth." - MA 09/05

Easy Eddie's
Huntersville
NC
"Easy Eddies is a fun place to go (bar and grille) but the repair shop in the back is pure second rate.  I dropped a Sportster off to have a new front wheel and lowers put on.  Took 2 weeks after a 2 day promise.  Bike was wet and filthy when finally ready and ended costing almost the same as the HD dealer quoted.  The caps for the lowers we dented and caved in.  Service manager only shrugged.  My last visit there, ever." - MS 09/06

"Well maintained, clean and large. They offer the standard Custom Chrome, Drag Specialties, etc stuff." - BB 8/01

"Although I did not buy my bike from these folks, I will be buying my next one there. They treat you like next of kin, and their service dept. is second to none." - JC 05/03

"Bought my 02 V-Rod in November of 2002 from Biker Boulevard. Although it was a new model type, they worked with me to update the seat, pegs, etc. Great folks and always treat you like family. I will definitely look hear again, if/when I go to buy another HD." - DH 01/04

Twin Specialties Inc

"Well maintained, clean and large. They offer the standard Custom Chrome, Drag Specialties, etc stuff." - BB 8/01

"I have visited Twin Specialties on many occasions,  if you know what you want and they by chance have it, (parts) most prices are in line with other stealer ships,  I can't say anything good about the service.  I have been taught that if you can't say anything good, don't say anything....   If you have a lot of time, and don't mind coming back several times, they can figure it out, with a charge for each visit.  Don't even think of buying or trying to make a trade.  You can pay what they want and take what they give,   which is little until they have it for sale....go ahead, take a chance... good luck, you will come to need it..." - NB 06/02

"I have been a regular at Twin for two years now, as long as the crowd is not too big the service has been wonderful, the owners know me and call me by name and are always on hand if you need help. Bought my Sporty there and was very pleased at the pricing, and the follow-up on the sale. Prices are high sometimes but the Service dept is staffed by some of the best in the area." - MB 06/02

"Parts? If you are the touchy feely type for (what few they have) after market parts then this is the place for you. If you know what you want from looking at your own catalogs, then I would recommend you purchase your parts off the Internet and save yourself lots of money. I don't purchase anything from this stealership unless absolutely necessary.  They charge full retail price for everything. Forget about price matching, their prices are firm right by the retail book. The very first time I ordered something from them I had to pay for it up front.  They called me and said the part was in, I go down and they charge me for the shipping before I can get my part.  Shipping cost was never mentioned at the time of purchase. Service? I've seen a few people bringing bikes back because it's not right the first time. A bolt loose here and a screw missing there. Salesmen? The salesmen are very knowledgeable about the bikes and do a good job, but the prices for the used bikes could be better. They also have pretty high interest rates. Ask for a better rate." - CM 06/02

"Their prices are firm, if you buy used parts, expect to pay sales tax. What's up with that?  THEY ARE USED...talk about a STEALER SHIP!" - NB 07/02

"I am a relatively new bike owner. I carried my Electra Glide to Twin Specialties for them to fix an oil leak. Knowing how expensive motorcycle repairs can be, I figured that I'd have to probably spend at least $300.00 to $400.00 to get it fixed, and probably wait four or five days. I carried my bike on a Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. and the service mgr. came out and took a look at my bike and informed me that it could very well be that it only had too much oil in it and that he would get one of the tech's to check it out and call me before making the repairs. Around 1:00 p.m., he called me and told me that my bike was ready and they had also done a state inspection and the total was less than $70.00. I was flabbergasted and elated to know that there are still some honest people in the world. Needless to say, no other shop will ever touch my bike again and I'll tell others about The handling of this matter." - LA 10/02

"I bought a 1996 Road King from them. Good price and great guys to deal with. Never had any service done so I can't comment on that. Scooters bar next door is a great place to have lunch and then check out the latest bikes." - JC 05/03

RPD Custom Cycles
Raleigh, NC
"Have talked to this shop twice on the phone about a rake job on a stock bike. The owner always seems to answer, is very pleasant and helpful and takes plenty of time to discuss things in detail.  After doing serious homework on getting my first Harley including studying some very good website explanations of rake and trail this guy seems to really know what he's talking about, what is safe and works right, and has good policies about how the work is done.  Would appreciate comments from anyone with experience with them." - RM 07/02
