"Great shop. An authorized Power Commander tuner who
took extra time to assure my lightly modified 2004 FLHTCI was tuned
optimally. I recently took in my 82 shovelhead FXR, and they did an
expert job of repairs and tuning. Great folks. Highly recommended." - BG

"This is a full service shop. From repairs to full
custom built choppers. Specialize in high horsepower full dressers. These
guys are honest and up front. They have a dyno, and will get the most
power for your dollar anywhere in southeast MI. I have been riding for 35
yrs., and have not found a better place to have repairs, or performance
work performed. Give them a try, you'll become a regular." - JS 04/04
"A great indie to have HD performance work done. The owner is the the
wrench working on your scoot. He is a tremendous mechanic and knows high
performance. Not inexpensive but honest to a fault and goes out of his way
to make sure you get the absolute most for your dollar. In-house dyno and
they stock performance parts to get your project done quickly. I travel
almost 300 miles one way to have my work done there because I can rely on
it being done right. More importantly, he takes the time to walk you
through your build, you come away knowing this shop has your satisfaction
as their first priority. Stands behind his work, goes the extra mile, does
the little extras and doesn't scalp for them, and is always happy to help
with the logistical issues. Hard to find people like this in this day and
age. Highly recommended!" - EP 12/06 |

Bubba's Tri-city Cycles
Linwood, MI

"Kudo's to Bubba's. I rode up to Tawas to go on my
first poker run of the year. I get about to Linwood and had to use the
facilities and warm my fingers up when I backed off the throttle on the
off ramp I hear a POP and the bikes starts whining. I limp into the gas
station and see a HUGE puddle of oil under the bike. Call my friend up and
he calls Bubba's. Bubba brings a trailer and takes me back to his shop. He
then says "I don't have any mechanics here today but you can put it on one
of the tables and see what's wrong". We pull the inspection cover off the
primary and the top bolt from the primary chain adjuster had come all the
way out and fell into the chain. Took the primary cover all the way off
and checked everything out no other damage except a small gouge on the
inside of the cover. Bubba gets me the bolt, a new gasket, some locktite
and some fluid. We put it all together, start her up, no funny noises and
no leaks. Bubba's had been closed for about a hour now but he made sure I
could get back on the road. Total cost $66 for the tow and the parts. If
your ever in Linwood, MI stop in at Bubba's they are definitely stand up
folks." - RM 03/04 |

"Visit Louie's for quality aftermarket H-D Parts. I
got a great set of Bub Rinehart pipes for my '04 Sportster. It sounds
great! Now, that is. The first set broke at the head due to a
manufacturing defect. Lou got me a new set and installed it at no extra
charge. His hourly labor rate is lower than the H-D dealer. Some dealers
won't install aftermarket pipes, but Lou does." - PG 09/05 |

"Small place, only room for 2 bikes inside shop.
Excellent mechanic, one benefit of small shop is they get work out fast,
and they do it right. Owner goes through normal places to get new parts he
also has some used parts. Only place I deal with." - DF 01/03 |
Stevenson's Cycle

"I took my 'glide to him in the fall of 2002 to get
some basic maintenance stuff done in prep for a trip to Florida. I also
asked if he could run the bike on his dyno and get tuned better. The
owner had my bike running the best it had ever run, even though he charged
me five hours of dyno time. I was still happy to finally have a good
running Harley. So when I got sick and tired of the rear cylinder base
gasket leaking, I figured I'd take it back to them in 2003. He ended up
doing a top end rebuild and I also had them put a bunch of chrome covers
on to replace the ratty looking aluminum ones, new brakes, lines, cables,
etc. I have had a continuous oil leak issue since then. They had the
bike back three times in 2004, once to reseal the rocker boxes, once to
replace and reseal the rocker boxes, and the last time I had him replace
the breather. That time he had the bike for almost two months. Yeah
still leaks. I won't go back or recommend them to anyone. Oh, and the
upper end rebuild, with only 3,000 miles on it is crap. The present shop
showed me the cylinders that were .004 out of round and the ring gaps that
were too large. Not to mention the valves that weren't even sealing on
the seats." - RS 08/06 |
