"This is a small family operation. They take the time
to talk to you about
your wants/needs. They have always been very helpful, saving me time and
money. They also do dyno tuning at reasonable rates, along with
powdercoating and machining. They are, sort of, a one-stop shop. Nice
folks that work at making you part of the family instead of a buck coming
through the door." - JC |

"Big time mechanics with a small town attitude.
Without question, the best wrenches in southern Indiana plus they'll
take the time talk to you about your bike needs. The best one stop shop
in the Midwest. Tired of the H-D money grab routine? Check these
guys out, you won't be disappointed." - DM 7/01 |

"On the way to a funeral in Kokomo, IN I had the
misfortune of breaking the drive belt in Goshen, IN. Called
the Elkhart Harley Dealer. They were too busy to help!!! Couldn't even
tow it and store it. Found an Independent in Goshen that loaned us a
truck and trailer, let us store the bike for 2 days... NO CHARGE! Large
Kudos to Maple City Cycle. I heard the dealer in Elkhart is a mega dealer?
That true? No time for travelers? We got Chrome, but can't get ya home?" -

"In late 2004 I had them do the 10,000 mile service on
my '01 Harley. Afterwards the throttle would not work. Feb 2005 I got my
bike ready for riding and the throttle was completely frozen and my engine
light stayed on. I called their service department and spoke to the
service manager and he picked up my bike. When he arrived I told him about
the throttle and he said they would fix it. I also asked about the engine
light and he said "no problem , we have all the stuff to check and fix
that and we do work on Harleys". On 3/3/2005 I picked up my bike, a $521
bill and there was not much explanation why the bill was so high except
for approximately $225 for a new tire. I was told that they could not
honor what that service manager had said, he had been removed from his
job. I asked if they fixed and found out what the engine light was on for
and I was told "we have no way to fix or even find out about that". Then I
was told that FlatOut really does not know much about Harleys and just do
oil changes and stuff like that. I paid the bill and left riding my bike,
approximately two blocks away my bike quit and it would not start again. I
pushed it home. On 3/4/2005 I tried to start my bike again and it started
but stalled out about twenty seconds later and it will not stay running.
I've emailed FlatOut and have received no response and no return on my
phone call. No business should say they can fix something and not only
they can't but they don't know anything about what it is they are suppose
to fix." - RW 03/05 |

"Spent an hour or more just sitting and talking with
one of the people
at the shop. Talked about things I am considering doing and how we might
do them--without H-D dealerships involved. These folks will take the
time to talk to you about YOUR scoot. They give good, honest,
well-thought out advice and answers--and good alternatives to the H-D
money grab. Consider them when you need help." - TD 11/01 |

"Having recently visited Freedom Cycles, I was very
pleased with their laid back sales approach. The owner was very easy going
and polite and I could tell he knows his stuff. The bike prices were a
little too high but the helmets and jackets were very reasonable. I was
given good advice and I will definitely be returning to Freedom Cycles." -
