"I made the mistake of teaching a girlfriend to ride my
94 sporty. needless to say she crashed it pretty good. I went to BMF and
they said no problem they could handle the job. I gave them 2100 to get
started. they ordered a few parts and told me to pick up the fenders and
tank and go have them painted. I thought they were going to handle this.
So I picked up the parts and took them to a shop they recommended. The guy
told me it would take a week. 4 weeks later I got my parts back. The paint
was awful but I needed my bike so I just left it. BMF had told me the
whole job would take 4 weeks, 5 at most. They have had my bike for 4
months and it was not even close. they had put about $600 worth of parts
on it but nothing was tightened down or finished. I told them I wanted my
money back that I gave them and I got back 900. I had given them 2100. I
asked for a receipt to show where the money went and the owner refused. I
asked for my old parts and my keys and he refused again. Told me to go to
hell and sue him. So now I will have to sue the guy. Also I have had
nothing but problems with my electrical system and have spent about 600
trying to figure it all out." - MR 04/04 |

"1st class shop, very competent &
accommodating, Ron does it all and does it "well" including
performance work. Dyno and flow bench on premises." - CM 8/01
"I was having some problems with trust in local shops and a friend
referred me to RC Cycles. So I went down to talk to the owners as I was about to have a
95" upgrade installed on my Electra glide and needed a shop I could trust
to do the work well and be for me afterwards. Well they not only answered
all my "need to knows" but they were very straight forward about the whole
process. they didn't spend time in the B.S. they talked bikes and ask
honest questions I was very impressed I had them do my 95"upgrade and they
not only did a good job but they paid attention to the little things that
matter to a scooter rider, bolts I forgotten to chrome and stuff like
that. So if your looking for a shop this is one of the three I use to this
day." - DB 01/02
"Absolutely the best shop in the Bay Area. Ron is 100% knowledgeable and
more honest than that. Everything RC Cycles does is absolutely first
class and I would recommend them to anyone." - RA 10/04 |

"Small shop with parts counter, GREAT guys. When I
bring in my DuoGlide they call in a wrench who went to the original
panhead school (so they don't make any profit on me, so they hate to see
me coming. They too have gone out of their way for me several times."
- RT 06/02 "The Shop is clean, personal and honest. Did the
normal SE conversion to my 2002 Sportster. In and out exactly when they
said at a considerable savings over the HD dealer. They have all the
correct tools, a clean shop and interested and friendly staff. Highly
recommended." - EB 07/02 "After a local HD dealer refused to work
on my '88 XL1200 (clean, 14k miles, stored 5 years) saying the "clatter"
might be rod bearings and they don't do "heavy" work, I went to "THE
SHOP". Glad I did. They fixed my old XL in a timely manner (tbl turned
out to be a bad cam bushing) while taking care of anything that might be a
problem later on. They did a great job and I'd recommend them without
reservation to anyone wanting quality work." - MP 01/04 "Just an
update, The SHOP is still top notch in service and attitude. They
understand not everyone rides the newest. They did a top end and complete
electrical rehab on my 92 FLSTC. The boss has high quality standards for
his wrench\'s work. Major or minor, that\'s where I go." - RH 07/03 |

"09/25/05 We broke down near the shop. We were on a
LONG trip up the PCH. The owner and mechanic were friendly, did a quick
and good job at a VERY fair price! They had a good selection of parts,
etc. custom as well as restored bikes." - SA 10/05 |
Harley House Calls
Los Angeles, CA
|
"the owner/operator has many years of factory trained
experience. He has worked as a line mechanic at most of the Harley dealers
in the Los Angeles area. When he could no longer take the BS that comes
with the "It's all about the money attitude", he left and started his own
business. You call or e-mail and set up an appointment. He shows up at
your house or office on time with all the tools and parts to do the job.
You can either supply your own parts and gaskets, or ask him to bring
them. He is fast and professional and offers a lot of advice and
information. He cleans up after his work. His prices are very reasonable
and his work is top notch, He does everything from regular scheduled
maintenance to custom work. I had him perform a 20K on my bike, and unlike
most dealers, I was able to watch him. He did everything on the list. Over
the winter I plan on having him install a 6 speed gear set in my tranny. I
can't say enough good things about him." - MP 11/05 |

"Small, honest shop near downtown Martinez. Had front
and rear brake light switches in stock for '92 Sportster when only one out
of six of the $tealers in the East Bay had them - and for half the price,
of course. Knew exactly the parts I was looking for without part
numbers. Seem to be willing to do custom work. Have a good, mellow
attitude." - JD 07/02 |

"Top notch indy! Small shop that also sells parts and
accessories. Will do anything from the Bling to a complete build. Have had
several excellent experiences with the entire staff. The owner is a Hands
on kind of guy. Mechanics are sharp. If you're a Yuppie or a 1-percenter,
they treat ya right." - DM 02/07 |

"Machine shop & Dyno, and a line of billet
parts, helped me with insurance claim, friendly knowledgeable staff,
small clean shop. I've seen a few famous Land Speed Record machines
there (leading edge go-fast guys). I'll go back with no reservations
(and I am one picky SOB)." - RB 8/01 |

"On a recommendation, I took my Twin Cam Dyna in for
service at Cycle Imagery. Their "biker" image put me off a little, but a
few minutes of looking around and I got a great vibe. They found a lot of
things wrong with my bike that the previous owner had failed to address.
Cost me two tons, but they made everything right, right down to the proper
length of the kickstand. They walked me through everything that they did
in detail, explained why, and pointed out the weaknesses in the Twin Cam
to watch for to avoid expensive problems. I never felt rushed or that my
questions were considered stupid. Indeed, they seemed anxious to share
information and clearly like what they do. One visit, and already I am a
loyal customer." - TD 05/06 |
