WILKINS H-D
Barre, VT
"Most excellent place, very friendly, great to deal with.  My wife and I went down, test rode a bike, two up no less.  Ended up ordering one, excellent price.  Recommend them to anyone." - G 8/99

"Wilkins is a pleasure to deal with...great people!  They sell at about $750(?) over MSRP...not bad!" - DG 2/00

"Been hunting for an FXST @ MSRP in New England. Oceanside is the ONLY one that will sell on for MSRP but cannot guarantee a delivery. From NH to Maine, all want $3-$4,000 over MSRP with one exception, Barre Vermont. Barre quoted me $1,000 over MSRP & add another $395 for freight & dealer prep. I gave up waiting & am moving ahead with this. Their service & parts people seem very informative & exceptionally friendly to work with." - RT 11/01

"I bought the FXST Standard for $1,400 over MSRP. Add V & H exhaust and a bunch of chrome, mechanical work, etc., & the total came to $16,000. Wilkins has extraordinarily nice, very knowledgeable people. They did their best to get me a good deal for the money including winter chrome specials. The Softail is awesome as is this dealership. You won't find better people anywhere ." - RT 02/02

"Wilkins Harley-Davidson is by far the most honest dealer I have been to.  They are over half a century old and took really good care of me when my warranty ran out.  I always recommend people up there to stop in and see why I think they are so nice." - RT 12/04

"I ordered my 2003 Road King from Barbara Wilkins. Unfortunately there was an error with the delivery, a RK Classic had my name on it instead of an RK Standard which I originally ordered. Barbara was extremely helpful and very generous, I purchased the Classic for less $$ than I would have spent on the Standard, plus I got an alarm included free and they ordered and installed Factory Hard Saddlebags and the seat of my choice. By far they are the BEST HD Dealer that I have ever dealt with. It\'s worth the ride to do business with them!" - TL 10/05

"I have purchased one motorcycle from Wilkins HD, but this is my 3rd in my lifetime.  I wish now I had purchased the first two from Wilkins.  The family at Wilkins treats you like gold, because they truly care and that is why I will come back.  honestly the price is a little lower about an hour away from them, but its not the price that makes me come back." - RG 12/05

GREEN MT. HD
Essex Junction, VT
"I recently (7/7/99) requested pricing on new bikes at Burlington HD, Burlington, VT, the dealer was adding nearly $3000 to the MSRP. It was said to be the "Dealer List" not the MSRP. The explanation was that their "accountant" sets the prices so they can stay in business!!! Ex: MSRP of a 1200 XL custom is $8795, their price $11,500. Needless to say, I will never go back to Burlington HD." - TL 7/99

""Word is Burlington HD has recently sold out.  This is great news...owner was an asshole with a bad attitude.  Seacoast HD, a dealer from Manchester, NH is supposedly the new buyer, opening in a new location." - DG 2/00

"The Burlington, VT dealership was sold to Seacoast H-D of No. Hampton, NH and moved to Essex Jct, VT opening under the name GREEN MOUNTAIN HD. and trust me this is a must visit, great folks, good attitudes and very nice store. Price about the same as before, but what a difference." -  SM 3/00

"So far pretty good experience. Did not get called back when left a message twice but after going down there all is straightened out. They have bikes in stock for sale and more coming. Must get on list though. I only have to wait two months for a new 2000. Prices are about $2500 over MSRP but include freight, setup, first two services and HOG membership. If you don't want to wait a year I guess that is acceptable. Hopefully good vibes will continue. Dealership is nice and real spotless." - TL 4/00

"Green Mtn HD has bikes in stock and available immediately. Unfortunately, they want $4500 over MSRP for their bikes (price comparison based on a 2001 FLHRI on their floor this spring at $21,900).  To be fair, I have heard of some folks getting deals on bikes from GMH, that is, if you consider $3000 over MSRP a deal.  One of the guys that works there is an old acquaintance.  His cut at it was that it's a gold-card shop, catering to the mid-life crisis and high-dollar crowd. They do have some nice t-shirts though, and I think it's the only place I've actually seen one of them screaming eagle seats for the shitter on display." - KS 7/01

"Yes, they charge a few dollars more, but I've found it was worth every cent. First two services were included at no charge, also, the price on the tag COULD be negotiated and the folks were super friendly, knowledgeable, and want to take care of you." - BW 12/01

"I have shopped around and found the bike prices at Green Mountain H-D to be fair.  In addition they have a knowledgeable P&A staff and 3 H-D fully trained service technicians.  I bought a Road King Classic there and a friend of mine bought a Heritage Springer.  Pricing included freight & setup plus the first two services for about $2000 over MSRP and I didn't have to wait for my bike---it was in stock.  They don't take pre-orders so the inventory selection is always pretty good too. The people are fantastic... friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.  They bent over backwards to provide  a great purchase experience for me." - VT 03/02

"This dealership is under new ownership as of April 2004, and has been working very hard to serve and earn the business of the local customers that had been pushed away under the old ownership." - Green Mt. H-D 10/05
