MS COAST H-D
Biloxi, MS
|
"The MS Coast HD dealership is convenient, but, I purchased a 2001
Road King at North Shore HD in Slidell, La with 1600.00 in extras and got
it for 800.00 less than a bone stock from MS Coast HD." - CC 5/01
"I have shopped the MS Coast Harley, Mobile Harley and Slidell
Harley...of the three I have found MCHD and Slidell Harley to sell for
about the same markup over MSRP....900-1000 dollars. Mobile seems to enjoy
bending you over the barrel if you know what I mean. That may be only
because I bought a Night Train from Slidell H.D. the rest of their bikes
had 2 to 3 thousand dollars worth of extra dealer installed chrome on
board...fine if that's what you want but pricey on top of the MSRP markup.
Of the 3 MCHD has by far the best prices on service...1000 mile service
$230 in Slidell, $200 in Mobile...$180 in Biloxi....Their service tech is
on the ball and interested in what you want done...the only draw back is
they stay busy... advance notice is required to avoid a wait " - MR 9/01
"I bought a Softail Standard in Biloxi, MS because Texan HD of Conroe,
TX would not come down $1800 to match a price...I was told, by the manager
" Go buy it, if you can, for that price"...so I did. This price was $1000
over MSRP so bottom line...Texan HD has to many RICH customers from
the Woodlands shopping there. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to
anyone! MS Coast HD is one of the best dealerships I have had the
experience in dealing with...to bad they all couldn't be like them.." - CG

H-D OF DESOTO CO.
Horn Lake, MS
|
"The dealer sells her (yep she's a woman... who has
never ridden a Harley in her life... ) bikes at $3,000 to $4,000 over MSRP.
She also loads them up with accessories that she ordered for her parts
dept. because she thought people would like them but can't sell them so
she sticks them on her new bikes to get rid of them. People WHO DO
buy bikes from her have to take the parts off to have a decent looking
bike. The service dept sucks... One (1) mechanic and the owner
can't talk to you without lying!" -BM 11/99
"This place is a joke. The owner is rude & unprofessional. She
does not ride nor does anyone who works there ride or is knowledgeable
about H-Ds. She seems to strictly be in it for the money, not
because she cares about riders. There are no qualified or experienced
people in the service or parts dept. Can't see how she will be in business
much longer." - SF 6/01 "I bought my Road King
Classic 2002 at H-D Desoto Co. I found the entire staff both Professional
and Courteous. I did not special order - so when the next FLHRCI came in
the color I wanted I bought it. After talking to almost every Harley
Dealer in the mid-south area I could not pass up the deal they gave me,
only $500.00 over MSRP, tee shirt and other discounts for a full year. I
did not feel as if they were doing me a favor by selling the R.K. It has
been 20 years since I purchased a cycle and this was a great way to be
reintroduced to the Harley Davidson Family. It has really been a pleasure
to meet a great teem of professionals that I will bring my business to
again and again." - DD 03/02 "I recently purchased
my 2002 883 Sportster from H-D of Desoto County. I am amazed at the
quality of service from this dealer. The price was the lowest in the local
area. I have not been in the wind for 6 years and they went out of their
way to make sure I was riding safe. Being mechanically inclined I wanted
to "Pay the tax" myself at home. They were very helpful with this
{supplying info and knowledge. Salesman, Shop, Owner and Staff made this
buying experience the best ever." - MR 04/02 "I was
in H-D of Desota County on Wednesday April 16 , 2003, I stood around 20
minutes , no sales people would wait on me, several bikes had signs saying
not for sale till July the 2 bikes I was interested in had no price
stickers . Some blonde was running around with a cell phone talking to God
knows who , I have been riding Harleys since 1978 and I was appalled at
the way that dealership was run. I drove 100 miles to get there but I
won't set foot in there again." - SW 04/03
"Employees were laying around on the bikes and talking.
Seemed irritated if you tried to squeeze by them to look at a bike. I
ended up talking to one of the service guys because the salespeople were
all lounging around. Immediately he started pushing Screamin Eagle parts
on me and telling me how aftermarket parts were all cheap. I took my
business to Foster's in Alabama and they were very polite and didn't try
to "sell" me anything." - JD 04/04 |

H-D OF JACKSON
Jackson, MS

"According to a well-known biker magazine, readers
have sent in letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near
MSRP."
"While this dealer will sell at MSRP plus delivery charges, the
only way to get on a list for a bike you want is to attend a camp out at
his location, with your RV. If you can't camp, you can't order!"
- DM 3/01
"I was 3rd in line for the August 2000 campout. I was their for 6
days. Rules are can't leave property except for the gas station next door.
They either cook you food (free) or get takeout (not free) or make own.
Take you on a charted bus tour of bayou bars the last night. Met great
friends ,had great time. I had to wait 1 week for 2001 deuce EFI , paid
MSRP, 10%off parts w/ free install, & free T. Highly recommended. Will
sell out of state. P.S. I found him thanks to this page. MUCH
THANKS!" - CC 7/01
"Dealer in Jackson MS has the worst attitude I have ever seen in
my life. No matter how much money I spend there its the same old thing,
they act like they don't want my business. No technical help or updates
about problems cant ask them anything. The only reason I go there is
because its the only one in the area. Is this the way HD does business
now?" - HS 8/01
"True enough, they sell at MSRP which requires you to camp out for
several days for a bike...and the owner is probably too nice for his own
good. This dealership has probably the most smart***ed head mechanic in
the business! The guy doesn't even own or much less ride a bike! Nothing
but derogatory crap flying out of his mouth. Lots of people have to make
the drive all the way to Monroe, La just for service. Shame on that
dealership's owner for allowing one idiot to run so much business off." -
TH 03/02
"The motto there is "Can't Stand Earl" but I can. They sell @ MSRP.
You must camp out at least over the weekend but the party is well worth
the trouble. Plus my experience is he and sales staff will help you
anyway they can." - ES 10/02
"This dealer sells their bikes the same price as most that
we have looked at. They sell their merchandise for over retail that is
posted in the book and they carry discontinued merchandise (9 yrs old) for
the same retail price as posted then or more. I guess you got to make your
money somewhere. Will not buy from again. Owner could care less about his
customers his attitude tells it all !" - DH 01/04
"Bought a new XL
1200C over the phone after being at the dealer several days before. Salesman
did good job of covering all the questions and options that I was interested
in. His knowledge in the bikes and accessories helped me very much. When I
was ready for my 1000 mile service I called service dept. and was told to
bring in bike next morning at 9. Bike was ready in 1 hour and I was happy
with all service. I would buy from them again. I did wait to post here until
I got my 1000 mile service, just to be sure." - JR 08/04 "I had a
wreck on my Road King back in Dec and this dealership was closest to the
wreck scene. From when they unloaded my bike off the wrecker till I picked
it up, you could not have asked for any better service. Bike was ready
earlier that expected. I even got a little more chrome out of the deal, no
extra charge. I think this dealership gets a bum rap from RUBS expecting a
big shiny new building and the latest Harley fashion crap. They sure took
care of me and got me back on the road a lot sooner than I expected. I will
sure continue to do business with them in the future." - WK 03/05 |
CHUNKY RIVER H-D

(formerly Road & Track H-D)

"Showroom bikes have no
accessories already installed unless requested by purchaser. We do
accept deposits on incoming - never bid one off. Yes we are a
small dealer and can and do give personal service to our customers."
- Road & Track H-D 10/99
"A few years ago on
my way back to Indy from New Orleans, Main bearing blew about 30 MI s. of
Meridian. Had my bike drug to this shop. The owner is good people in my
book, treated me right and did good rebuild for me on my converted 81 fxe/servicar
trike ." - RP 1/00
"Meridian MS dealer would not sell to me unless I bought 2000 in
extras , he quoted me 23,500 for a 98 Fatboy includes sales tax, I have
the fax on their letterhead." - BF 2/00
"I have lived in Meridian for 45 years. I have purchased a
bike from them. They already had $1500 dollars of accessories on it. The
cost was $3200 over list for a Sportster and they would not give original
parts back because the owner said they send them back to HD for credit.
Yeah right! I know many, many people personally who have gotten the
same deal. Just poll the people who have purchased bikes from him.
The name should be Road and Rip-off. He does not support the local
chapter in any way except for attending meetings." - RM 3/00
"I traded my 2001 fxwg for a 2004 Electra Glide and I must say Chunky
River was a great place to do business, staff was friendly helpful and I
feel like I got what was a fair deal. All dealer are in business to make a
profit and you have the right to shop other places. I feel like I would do
business with them again and would refer them to my friends." - JL 02/04
"Chunky River Harley-Davidson owners purchased Road & Track Motocycles in
October, 2001. New Policies were immediately put into place and all
reports have been positive concerning treatment of customers. Please
refer to the dates of the posted comments before you decide where to bring
your business. CRHD prides itself on excellent customer service and a
fair deal." - CRHD 06/05 |
