TED'S M-CYCLE WORLD
Alton, IL
"I jus purchased a 00 1200 custom from TED'S, they let me order it for WHEN I wanted it and no hassle. They even were polite when I called every other day to find out if it was in. My local dealer wanted 11,500,i got it at TED'S for 9640.I live over 100 miles away and I was well worth the drive to do business with this dealer. they are some of the nicest people I have found." - BR 5/00

"Was in the ST. Louis Vicinity a few years back (99) on the bike front rocker box started leaking like crazy, Stopped at Bob Schultz (never again) locals were more important than someone 500+ miles from home. I called Ted's they said if I could leave it they would try to work it in better than the "NO" at Schultz. They started on it at noon on Saturday and they finished it about an hour after closing time. I'll stop in at Ted's anytime from here on out for Service and whatever with this kind of dedication. Thanks guys." - TW 04/05

"Ted's Motorcycle World has been my HD Dealer of choice for almost five years now. Their service manager is a first class guy and I trust his skills and judgment." - CR 09/05

FRIEZE H-D
Belleville, IL
"Very friendly staff.  I was happy with my purchase of a 2000 low rider.  They had the best price I was able to find.  I like the fact that they don't have waiting lists and don't sell the bikes until they are on the floor.  I will continue to return to them.  They seem to really value the customer." - EE 4/00

"A lot of bikes on the floor. Most at a couple thousand over MSRP. Service guys are pretty good. They have a couple who ride ironheads are aren't afraid of older bikes." - MB 10/02

"I purchased a 100th Anniversary tank panel from Frieze and took it home to put it on.  I had no problems until I torqued the bolt at the bottom of the panel to much and snapped the head off of it.  I called Frieze and their service rep told me to bring it in - no appt.  I rode up there and they took me right in, drilled out the old bolt, re-tapped and put a new one in.  When they were done, I went to pay my service charges and was amazed..$1.61 for the bolt.  This is the first bike I have ever owned and they have been nothing but helpful and friendly at this dealership.  I bought the bike used in a private sale but it was originally purchased from Frieze.  Now I know why." - DH 03/05

ILLINOIS H-D
Berwyn, IL
"They don't value their customer. I spent 25,000 there in one year and they still had the nerve to demand 100% down to order a common part that they took 3 months to acquire. I paid 20,000 +tax for my FLSTS there. (I won't do that again!)" - TM 9/99

"I would not buy a bike at Illinois H-D, because of their waiting lists and selling above MSRP. However their parts counter is staffed with friendly personnel that seem to like their jobs. They know the product and keep abreast of new developments. Illinois H-D also has a shop full of veteran technicians. I had some performance work done and have been pleased with the results." - V 2/00

"I bought my 2001 FLHT from Illinois Harley. I paid $1600 over MSRP. They would not negotiate price. The only "extra" I got was a H-D alarm.  My salesman, was excellent. What's more, the service department staff is friendly and responsive. They replaced a scratched tail light lens without hesitation. My only problem with this dealer is their service department. I had to wait over six weeks to get a 1k inspection carb rejet. I rate Illinois H-D a solid "9" and would not hesitate to buy my next bike from them." - GJ 5/01

"I just purchased an 02 FLSTCI from Illinois H-D last month.  The bike was sold to me for MSRP and completely stock.  I was not on any type of waiting list - we walked in ready to buy a different color Heritage, but since it wasn't fuel-injected, I hesitated.  It was closing time for the dealership, but our salesman told us about a Luxury Blue EFI Heritage that was available, asked me if I would like to see it, 5 minutes later he rode it right through the dealership's front door, and within minutes we were in his office completing the paperwork.  The sales transaction went very smoothly and was relatively painless.  The staff in the parts and service departments are great, too!  Very accommodating and attentive - which means a lot to me, since I am a woman.   I would highly recommend Illinois H-D." - LK 01/02

"I broke down in Chicago while en route to Milwaukee 100th on Wednesday the 27th. I took my 03 Ultra to Illinois HD for repair and was taken care of better than if it had been my own family. Was greeted by Tim, one of the owners. He got me in and had the problem diagnosed within 2 hours of arriving. (Broken Throttle Body) Not one in Illinois or Wisconsin. They had one shipped in from Texas, arrived the next morning, Thursday the 28th. I was back on the road that afternoon. These folks know how to take care of you!!" - KS 09/03

"I was looking for A used bike and found A 95 Low rider at this dealership, The price was right, The salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly and I would definitely do business there again." - SO 07/05
CHUCK'S H-D
Bloomington, IL
"I've been dealing with Winnie and her crew since the mid 70's (when Chuck was still with us) and have nothing but praise for the staff and management. Parts people are knowledgeable, mechanics are top-notch, award winning pros. I only wish that you all could have a shop like Chuck's to deal with. Pure H-D. (no imports or lawnmowers)" - EH 2/00

"I am the only person in the Western World to wait 2 years 4 months for a 1997 FLHTCI. I ordered a Red Fuel Injected Hog. The dealer called two years later and told me I was getting a red AND SILVER (NOT what I ordered) Bike. Right model, wrong paint. I took it. Everybody else got there's much quicker than I did. I paid MSRP $15850.  That is rare these days, so I feel better about the purchase than most. I put a deposit on it two months before it was built. NOT for the whole 2 years." - RB 3/00

"These folks are great. Nice atmosphere. Stopped in with some trouble on the road-they thought nothing of helping and charged not a dime. Granted the help was mostly verbal-but they took the time. I RATE THESE GUYS A 10 PLUS" - RB 5/00

CHICAGO H-D
(3 locations)
Chicago, IL

"I purchased my first H-D, a 2000 Night Train (the balanced engine ROCKS ) from Marty at Chicago H-D. It was at list and I waited a whole eight (8) days to get it! I do not know if this is the norm, but he sure made me happy!  On top of that you get 20% off all genuine H-D parts and 15% off aftermarket. they will special order parts with no money down. Kind of nice, you pay when the parts come in. This is given to everyone. Needless to say I am extremely pleased. - FP 11/99

"Looking for parts I noticed a comment about this dealer offering a 20% discount on H-D parts.  I can confirm that this is true.  My local shop was charging the catalog price of $282.  Chicago H-D's price for the same (new) part was $224.60.  Even with the shipping cost coming in at $9 bucks, I still saved over $50........I'll remember this place. Ordered on a Thursday, and received the following Thursday." - BA 4/01

"These guys have no integrity.  I called Chicago H.D in response to a internet posting for a new 2001 Road King Classic @ MSRP. I spoke with them and made it clear that I was from Missouri. They told me that the owner would have to approve an "out of state" sale and that he would call me back. After two days of calling, he told me the deal was "approved" by the owner but someone who was "out sick" would have to give instructions on getting the bike registered prior to delivery. I called back every day for 8 days and was given the same story about the person being "out sick". After 10 days I got a message on my answering machine telling me that the owner said he would have no trouble selling the bike and that he didn't want to do the out of state sale." - BO 8/01

"I don't know how this crew deals with bike purchases, but I continue to order parts from them because you can't beat them.  I recently ordered a couple of parts that were necessary for a trip that was being planned.  One week passed I had not received my order.  I called the dealership and they told me that they had no record of my (Internet) order.  I explained the situation (needed the order ASAP) and they said they would "2nd Day Air" it to me, and "eat" the expense.  That's exactly what they did.  Not only did I save 20%, but also checked out their integrity.  I have no problems with this dealership." - BA 9/01

"This dealer has many 2002 big twins on the floor at MSRP. When I called they had five FLSTC's and were offering $200 - $500 off MSRP (not sure if they are still doing this). They had no problem with selling out of state." - SM 12/01

"Chicago Harley is one of the best dealerships I have ever been to.  I called them on a Monday gave them my CC info to hold a Pearl White Road King Classic at slightly over MSRP but WELL below most other dealers in my area.  I drove from Omaha, NE to pick the bike up on a Saturday, they had everything ready to go, and loaded it up for me.  I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.  Everyone there was extremely helpful, and the prices are the best.  The give you a 20% discount on internet purchases and free shipping.  I will never go anywhere else to buy again." - CT 04/02

"20% discount is a true statement.  I've purchased an Oil Cooler, grease, spark plugs from those guys and yes, they offered me a 20% discount just  like they advertise.  Parts sales representative was friendly right to the point and the part arrived on the day that I was told by the sales rep. I'll never go any other place to shop for H-D parts.  As far as purchasing a bike from those guys I no experience." - CS 07/02

"Ordered parts form this dealer on the strength of the good reviews here and on harleydavidsonforum.com. Saved 20% on the US price of the parts which made a whopping difference on the price in UK £ over here (normally get charged £ for $ in rip off UK).  Fast service, no fuss, highly recommended, I'll be back!" - PH 06/04

"Chicago HD has always sold bikes at MSRP. That's why I passed on the dealer only a few miles from my home and traveled over 45 miles to do business with them. I purchased an '05 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. I bought the bike at MSRP and to my surprise did not pay freight or shipping fees. I also received a number of free parts and accessories. Chicago HD is a great dealer to do business with. I highly recommend them." - GJ 09/05

H-D OF CRETE
Crete, IL
"The apparel woman was most helpful to me. I wanted a H-D belt that was discontinued. She used the Nationwide Harley Dealer Inventory System to locate the item by it's part number. This is a somewhat tedious process for only a belt, but she did it for me and found the belt in San Diego. Real nice of this woman!" - PT 4/00

"I just bought my first bike from Crete H-D.  They sell all of there bikes at MSRP and their sales people are wonderful.  They treated me like a king and made sure I was comfortable with every step of the buying process." - RB 12/01

"Bought new FLSTFI Oct 01 bike is an 02 model. Walked in they showed me all the model I was interested in. Did not have efi in stock was told they would have one in 8 days. True to their word picked up 8 days later. Sold at MSRP off 3 hours free labor for accessories to be put on. Service department also excellent when bike was brought back for first service. All staff knowledgeable and friendly." - KC 03/02

"Stopped in at Crete H-D to check to see if they had a 2003 Ultra Classic. Salesman told me Harley will not give them no release dates on the bikes they have coming in. I have checked with 4 other dealers in this area and they all have their release dates!  I have heard if you are not personal friends with the owner you are out of luck at this dealer. I have bought accessories from them in the past but will never step foot in their place again. Nothing but very dishonest people at this dealership!" - CT 12/02

GUTTERRIDGE
Danville, IL
"I sell at MSRP + $450.00 Fright and set up are included. I have to stay in My factory area due to the small amount of units I receive. I do have a deposit list; and we take 50% down on special orders. I have one of the most up to date service shops in the state, Dyno; all my tech's. are factory trained; and we give a 90 day or 1000 mile warranty on all work done. I love to gain customers not just a bike sale. Open six days a week; Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.- 6:p.m.; Sat 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m." - Gutteridge H-D 10/99

"I recently had a big bore kit installed on my 2001 FLHTCI  by Gutteridge, I have to say I cant even tell a bolt was turned on my bike. This place is great, the staff in service is extremely knowledgeable, they knew what to recommend and what would work well with my exhaust. I have recommended them to all my friends and 2 have appointments before Sturgis. The owner even took time to B/S with us in the parking lot, while my bike was getting dyno’d. I drive 125 miles to get to this place and they are my service dept." - SC 06/02

"I own a 1999 Electraglide Standard, I have a Mukuni 42 carb., asset of 2 into 1 Thunderheaders for exhaust and a set of 203 cams in the bike. I have taken the bike to 3 different shops on the south side of Chicago to get the combination set up correctly but to no avail. My friend and I took a ride one day and happened by Gutteridge H-D. We stopped in and I talked to the Service Manager about my problem, he set a appointment and had the bike gone over and dyno'd. He took time the first time I talked to him to REALLY listen to my problem, made myself and my friend feel like we were one of the family and really welcomed at the Dealership. Since then I have talked to some of their tech's., the ladies in the front of the shop, their parts dept. and the owner and found out these are people who GENUINELY care about their customers who become their friends. Since then my friend has Gutteridge H-D install a 1550 kit in his bike, another friend is going there to have his 1550 kit installed and still another friend is going there to have is maintenance done there. While this sounds like a very good recommendation and go one step further, all of us live 122 miles from Gutteridge one way. As for my occupation in life, I am a Service Manager for a large Pontiac/ GMC dealership so I do know a little on how to treat a customer " - LR 06/02

"Back in 1999 I purchased a 1984 XLX Sportster from Gutterridge for 2995 with 6000 miles on her. Never had a problem and did my own wrenching. Well back in April of 2003 I decided to go looking for a new Harley. After looking at a few other area dealers, (Champaign, IL. not friendly, and Terre Haute, IN. little high on everything) So, I came back to Gutterridge because they made me feel like I was part of the family and didn't try an sell me something I did not want. Plus I got my new 2003 XL1200 Custom Gunmetal pearl with the Gold Key package out the door for $11000.00, not a bad deal considering its lists for $9595.00 before shipping and 7 year warranty, plus the Gold Key package. I received some nice gifts after the sale also, which they didn't have to do. Now it is August and just had my 1000 mile service done and was only charged for the Synthetic oil, nothing else... The service manager is a real person, the parts people are no dummies, and even the boutique ladies know what they are talking about. And even the owners go out of their way to make you feel like family when you stop in or see them out riding. The Gutterridge family has been a H-D Dealer in Danville since 1958 and I can see why they are still in business." - JW 08/03

PIERCE H-D SALES
De Kalb, IL
"Coming back from a trip to Tennessee, I discovered that my shifter linkage had broken. After I zip tied it together at a rest area on I39, I met some kind folks who pointed us to Pierce's. While the shop was a smaller one, it was like the way shops used to be before they all got too big. Very friendly staff. I explained my problem and they took my bike in right away. About 15 minutes later they'd finished it! It cost a whopping $17.50 for the shifter linkage, they checked the air in my tires, and charged me only $7.50 in labor. Wonderful! I recommend anyone that's going to be in the area stop by. They have an amazing museum in the building that shouldn't be missed. Want to see a brand-new 1977 (I believe) XLCR? Or a 1915 HD? Lots of gorgeous old bikes to drool over." - DA 06/05

ZYLSTRA'S H-D
Elgin, IL
"This dealer is great!  I called all over for a 02 Fuel  Injected Softail, plain, at or near MSRP.  The sales  Manager here was great, he's an old timer.  They do sell at MSRP with nothing added to my bike at least.  He even gave me and my lady a full tour of their shop and he showed us his bikes. Give them your business." - SA 12/01

"Zylstra's H-D (Aimes, IA) recently purchased Fischer's H-D. I have been going to Fischer's for 11 years. Bikes were sold at MSRP!  Shop rate was $45 HR. Friendly and good sales and service. Since Zylstra's, I had three upset, and disappointed friends got there money refunded because bikes are now $3000-$4000 over MSRP. Some of those people were waiting on a list over a year. Zylstra's shop rate is now $60 hr. and I have heard it will soon be up to $75 HR. I have also heard of a heated argument Between a a sales person and a customer turning physical. Apparently the customer had his bike ordered. The parts and retail area was a joke. It made me uncomfortable. the owners or employees kids were running around the shop screaming and crying barefoot.  This is true. Very Very disappointed. I can't even wish them luck." - BB 08/02

"What a breath of fresh air!  We finally have a dealership in the Chicago area that cares about customer service and has motorcycles for sale.  The staff is overly friendly and will make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your purchases.  This dealer is exactly what the Chicago area needs.  Go see these guys. They have bikes for sale, great customer service, and none of this waiting list B.S. where maybe you'll get a bike and maybe not.  You can't put a price on unbeatable customer service." - BS 08/02

"New owner (Zylstra) would not honor the MSRP deal with former owner (Fischer's).  We argued some, but the new sales manager would not budge. He said "we're a market based dealer, we've always been..."  Wanted $2K over list for a 2003 Heritage Softail.  Refunded my deposit quickly.  Couldn't get me out the door fast enough." - MS 1/03

"My partner just bought a bike from here.  It was a police bike and the dealership did a horrible job of removing the decals and left lots of scratches.  The sale itself went fairly smoothly but at no point did they seem to appreciate the business and they didn't even throw in a keychain or a pen at the end, so the bike from Zylstra's is sporting a keychain from Chi-town Harley, which is where I would buy my next bike from." - CC 06/04

"One thing I'm sure about, Fischer's H-D was a family favorite since the 60's. As a Customiser of H-D's and owner of "Rays Cycle Center", "Home of the Vomit Comit" the first turbine drag bike, I was saddened by the buy out and now the service. I can remember A special mechanic and service rep  NOBODY better!! This bike shop was one of the best in the northwest. Too bad things have to change." - RJ 06/04

"Went in to purchase an 03 bike in the fall of 02 after calling a salesperson. I was interested in purchasing a stock bike was told and I quote "we don't play any games if you want a stock bike you can get a stock bike" I said it sounds great I make an appt to visit we have to order one (no problem) the only thing after driving 50 miles to get there was they wanted $3000 over MSRP. However they were promising me that I would receive excellent customer service after the sale. Yeah right "after the sale" during the sale is when it gets not so great. I will NEVER EVER step back into that store and make sure I tell everyone I can about my experience. I am glad I was directed to this website. Zylstra get a clue." - VD 12/04

"Will not Honor any oral promises, Get everything in writing. Will get you in the finance office and try to up-sell you on everything. Labor rate is 100 dollars an hour. Freight and set up is over 1200 bucks. The lowest priced item in the store is 1.99.(for a 1/4 inch nut!) Will rob you blind at any opportunity. Liars and Thieves and that's the nicest way I can put it. If you talk to a salesman ,and want to see him again later ,Don't be surprised if he no longer works there. The turn over rate is huge. I've met a couple of their mechanics at other dealers, buying parts cheaper then they could at Zyltra on their "employee discount" Even the HOG. chapter left, Because they were embarrassed to be associated with the dealership." "According to a well-known biker magazine, readers have sent in letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near MSRP."

"I purchased a '03 sporty from these guys.  $800 over MSRP.  That includes freight, prep, doc fee and first year's service.  They also offered 20% of list on accessories on day of purchase and 10% off parts for the next 90 days.  Their service dept is top rate.  Didn't have my desired pipes in stock, instead offered 20% off a comparable set of pipes and 10% off labor.  I will buy all my future bikes from them." - MA 12/04

"I bought my 05 Ultra from G&W Harley last year.  The deal was done on a handshake and I traded my 04 RK.  Price was the best I had gotten and was honered 4 mos later when the bike arrived.  Service has been great.  Owner, service manager, and the mechs are all great to work with.  I have had a couple of warranty concerns and they were handled with no questions.  Truly a great dealership with the old time atmosphere of a real Harley shop.  Highly rec." - MM 12/05

"According to a well-known biker magazine, readers have sent in letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near MSRP."

"They're working to eliminate the list, but still have 1 1/2 years to go on baggers.  I had no problem getting a Y2K Heritage in 3 months.  Their goal is to be able to get bikes for their repeat customers in a year or less." - HR 11/99

REIMAN'S H-D
Kewanee, IL
"Imagine doing business with a dealer on a handshake and they carry through the deal flawlessly. Reiman's is that kind of place. I got my 2003 Road King through them. They are friendly and always have coffee and a snack ready for you. They are my dealer for life." - KB 12/02
LAKE SHORE H-D
Libertyville, IL

"The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I wish I could return all the gifts friends have bought for me from there. They charge full list for accessories, demand 100% down for special orders, and are unaccommodating to ANY exchanges. Their bikes are overpriced and I feel like I've been mistreated every time I've been there. (but they are opened on Sunday so when I'm desperate for a part I end up being their victim." - TM 9/99

"I paid roughly $1,400 over the MSRP for a new motorcycle, but they gave me a free t-shit (that must of been the most expensive t-shirt I've ever pickup). I went in to get a quote on a oil cooler and sales guy quoted me $340 ($280-oil cooler and $60  for thermostat, even though I didn't need one cause it was include with the oil cooler).  First of all he had no idea where to even look for the right part#, but the book was right in front of him. I told I had a Softail and he lookup a part# under touring bike. My experience with Lake Shore Harley ended right at that point.  I'm totally disappointed at their parts and sales departments." - CK 07/02

"I took a friend to LSHD to purchase a 2003 Heritage, They had one and he paid 5% over MSRP. He wrote a check and has to wait 5-10 business days for the check to clear, I would think for $21141. they could make a phone call to the bank, the the finance manager doesn't like people to pay cash as he looses the the commission on the financing." - RR 03/03

HERITAGE H-D
Lisle, IL

"All the bikes way above MSRP. $21,000 for a carbureted Deuce, need I say more? Surprisingly busy store.  Overall, a friendly parts counter, with the exception of one individual that was just way too important to answer what he perceived to be trivial fitment questions." - SF 02/01

"Will not work on pre-Evo bikes. Owner wanted member kicked out of his dealership sponsored HOG Chapter because he ran a shop in neighboring town. How's that for freedom of the road. Money talks here. A haven for chrome bolt-on orgies. If you can't spend the money, they won't spend the time." - JB 03/02

"When I was doing some engine work on my bike and I needed some piston rings. I called numerous dealers in the western suburb's of Chicago. I finally found that Heritage had a set. I arrived at the dealership at 4:00 PM on Saturday. The sales manager was standing at the front door. He told me they were closed. I told him all I needed was the rings they were holding for me in parts. He wouldn't let me in. I went home. Monday I went down there again and sure enough the rings were waiting for me. When I got home and opened the package, I found enough rings for one cylinder. I have rebuilt many auto engines and when I got a set of rings there were enough rings to do the whole motor. This is the first time I ever did a Harley. I would think the parts guy would say something to the effect that there is enough rings for one piston, but he didn't. I then had to make another trip down there to get another "Set" of rings. Total mileage105. Not a very friendly place to do business with." - RB 08/03

"I recently visited Heritage H-D for the first time and I have to say what an impressive dealership this is. I was greeted very friendly in every dept. I went to. The service department went above and beyond the call to remedy a warranty issue I had. Also the parts department had all the accessories I wanted. I live 45 miles from this dealer but they are sure to get my business from now on." - WD 03/04

"Stealer...went there today and asked to order a Y2K FXST (softail standard) and Ronnie Shreffler said "they 'aint taking no orders, because they can't make any money on taking orders" but he said they just received a red FXST and they want $16,000 plus tax and the only thing they added was a sissy bar! So lets do the math...$12,355 MSRP + 240. red paint...wow kinda high for that sissy bar!" - JB 9/99

"Was just quoted $15,600 for 2001 FLHT. $2000 above MSRP. They sell on FCFS basis." - EC 3/01

"A friend recently placed a $500 deposit on a used bike pending a doctor's release after the accident he was involved in. The salesperson agreed to refund the deposit if he could not obtain the release. A doctor's release could not be obtained and the dealership attempted to go back on their word. A lawyer was necessary to get the money back. I feel their integrity is highly questionable, and I would never trust them on a sale. I just thought everyone should know how they do business." - CS 04/02

CAMPBELL H-D
Marion, IL
"I bought a new bike off Campbell's in 1997, paid over list by 3000 like an idiot but I thought if I traded back with them there would be no problem. WRONG. They still price gouge now 3500 dollars and will give you a little over book on yours if you have put on a couple thou. in options. Stay away from these people unless you have money to burn. It's a sorry place and are not friendly." - MS 02/01

"I have been pricing 883 Huggers, the 1999 lists @ $5995.00,  Dales HD of Mt Vernon, IL priced it at $8,400.00. Still has 1999's on their showroom floor." -  TK 9/99

"Wanted a 2000 FXD (11,245 MSRP). Called there, they said they had a "used" one with 8 Miles on it coming in. (Never did get the story THERE... but add it up for yourself) He priced it to me at "around 16,500". You WILL find a bike there. At 4500-6000 OVER MSRP. Don't waste your time unless you have money to burn, and want one  NOW." - TD 3/00

"I stopped in on 2-8-01 to see about buying a bike, they have a good selection and I found out why. I asked about the road king they had, nothing fancy and the salesman told me 20,200. Asked about the night train 20,200. I inquired about the price and was told that is what WE sell them for. Dale's has been taken over by Surdyke's of MO and if you read about Surdyke in the Mo. listing it tells it all. Stealers." - MS 02/01

"I went into Dale's H-D to look around. Saw a nice looking Night Train and ended up trading my '99 FXDX for the '01 FXSTB. It had one mile on the odometer and I was told it was new and they would take care of the HOG. junk and the warranty. Found out later after I called HOG. with the VIN it was pre-owned and had no warranty or benefits. The small print on the bill of sale said "no verbal agreements or promises will be recognized." Great. Now I find out that this bike which cost way more than MSRP. (my own fault; as I am a sucker for a showroom full of shiny new motorcycles) is used and is registered to someone else. The dealer finally admitted the bike was pre-owned and sent papers for transfer of warranty with wrong information; sale date, etc. They even put MY address as that of their dealership. I received the papers after a call to H-D customer service and wrote the dealer a letter about my talk with H-D and my dismay with the way I was being treated. I talked to a nice woman at H-D that told me this is definitely a no-no for dealerships to behave in this manner.  Besides all this, I had performance parts put on the bike before it was delivered and was told they threw away all my old (brand new) parts. They said they were specially machined for my motorcycle and that this is their policy to throw away their customers brand new parts that are replaced; unless instructed to do otherwise. Finally after the fourth time of bitching and moaning about it, they found MOST of the parts boxed up with my name on it. One week after receiving the motorcycle it refused to start. They came and got it and told me it was a bad wire in the fuse box. When I went round to the back to pick up the bike, the mechanic told me he just "jiggled a wire" and she started right up. He said he never saw anything like that and could not guarantee me that it would not happen again. He showed me where the mischievous wire was located in case I needed to do some "jiggling". To top it off they lost my keys and the fob for the alarm. They did replace them but I cannot say that I am ecstatic about this ordeal. This dealership owned by Surdyke's which has another dealership in Festus, MO. They are celebrating one year of ownership this month. I will say the folks there are nice but after reading this; do you think you would trust them?" - TJ 4/01

"1000's over MSRP. Owned by the same group that owns Surdyke's in Missouri. Check Surdyke's comments. Expect the same at Mt. Vernon." - FL 10/03

FRIEZE H-D

OAK LAWN H-D
Oak Lawn, IL

"According to a well-known biker magazine, readers have sent in letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near MSRP."

"Sales: Waiting lists, above list, what else is new.
Parts: They give 10% to their HOG chapter only. I've known one instance of a 20% off day on parts, late last summer.  Service: Awesome looking new service center, quick oil change lane and Dyno opened early winter. Large second floor heated storage area for winter lay up. Had a tach put on by this shop and he marred the clear coat when he moved the speedometer cowl to get at the wires. Saw the marks too late. I was already home and impossible to prove at that point. NOT HAPPY. I know it wasn't intentional, but still very careless of the guy. A wrench mechanic, not a craftsman." - PR 2/00

"A comment about Oak Lawn's Parts Counter:
Most note worthy is the 300 pound imbecile. He is always in a crap mood no matter when you go in there. He is rude and condescending. He treats people like he is doing YOU a favor by waiting on customers.  Even bigger question; why is he still employed at Oak Lawn H-D? Buy your parts at Illinois or Chicago H-D, in my opinion" - SC 2/00

"According to a well-known biker magazine, readers have sent in letters claiming that this dealer sells bikes at or near MSRP." - ME 3/00

"When I asked if a passing light bar would fit my Springer with a windshield the parts guy said "I don't know". I asked him to look, he opens the book and asks me what part number the windshield is. Of course I don't know so he tells me to come back when I know what I want." - MG 4/00

"I've had good experiences at their service department. I have a 2000 Softail and there was some small blemishes on the chrome triple trees. Dave the service manager ordered a brand new top and bottom set under warranty.  Wow, very nice!" - JN 4/00

"Simply put, the absolute best.  These folks treated me like a king from start to finish.  I had to drive 5 and half hours one way to buy a 2002 Wide Glide from them and it was worth every mile.  The bike cost me MSRP + freight and setup ($500.00) and they didn't treat me like they were doing me a favor by selling it to me.  The salesman was extremely busy, but remained patient and friendly.  After we closed the deal the salesman introduced to the owner and he seemed to appreciate me like I bought the first motorcycle he ever sold.  Great facilities, great people, great locals, and perfect business transaction, enough said.  Thanks again." - WY 03/02

"My son is considering purchasing a new Harley, but is undecided about which one. While in the showroom of this dealership he asked a salesman's permission to sit on a bike to see how it felt. The salesman asked if he had money to put down. My son told him he was only looking at this time. The salesman told him if he had no money to put down he could not sit on the bike and walked away. Since when do you need money down to sit on a bike, under a salesman's supervision? I know the owners of the dealership follow this site, and they will surely know which salesman of whom I'm speaking. Because of him, we are actively seeking a more friendly dealership to make the purchase from." - CS 02/03

"Oak Lawn HD sells at MSRP and proudly announces this fact.  Expect to wait.  I waited 2 months and saved $3,000.  15% accessory discount with a bike purchase.  Friendly, good people." - BC 08/03

"I am a long time customer of OLHD and I have to say with the changes made in the last couple of months I will NEVER step foot in that place again! The slot machine management in the service and parts departments are just horrific.  The so called service manager has an attitude and has no customer service skills. He would rather run away from problems then confront them. The new parts manager is so useless she cant even get a simple part without looking in the book for 30-45 min. I will be going to the dealer up north where the former parts manager, asst. parts manager, motorclothes manager and service writer are, I know for a fact they know how to do their jobs and are good at them!" - BS 03/04

"I am an out of state customer of Oak Lawns for the past few years and I am willing to pay the shipping price because of the fact this company has it all together. I have never had better service in my life! I have owned Harleys for 12 years and have NEVER had better parts service by the parts manager with this company. She rocks!!! She is super quick with my orders and can find a part in a matter of seconds, I continue to do all of my business out of state with Oak Lawn and many of my friends are also making the change, we are here to stay!! I have also talked to the service dept for advice and order motorclothes from this company often." - KA 04/04

"Let me start by saying this dealership has no customer relation skills at all. I was on the road in northern Illinois when my bike broke down. I bought my bike at this "dealer" and they said they would pick it up at no charge and fix the problem which was still under warranty. They picked the bike up with no problems and took it back to the shop and repaired it. When I went to pick up the bike there was a huge dent in the front fender. The service manager said they did not do it and I would have to pay for a new front fender if I wanted it fixed. After much complaining that the dent wasn't there when I broke down the service manager said he would contact Harley Davidson and ask if there was anything they could do. Well it's 5 months later and I'm still getting the runaround and no results. I can't believe the attitude of the service manager. He make me feel like I'm some kind of liar. All I want is my fender repaired. My shadow will never darken their doorway again." - TW 08/04

STARVED ROCK H-D
Ottawa, IL

"Now under new ownership the place is called Starved Rock Harley instead of Garrett's.  The service department has lost a least 2 of the former guys who knew their stuff when it came to performance work.  This used to be a great shop, things are not the same.  To bad." - PK 4/01

"I called these folks looking for a bike and they had 2001 and new 2002 models on the floor. They charge MSRP, no add-on's, no price gouging, and everyone was very helpful and extremely nice. The new bike will be coming in October as I was able to pick a month as they had bikes available, and I expect that there will be no problems. They only sell to those who live in the area, so that may be why the bikes are available." - GB 8/01

"I ordered a New Sportster from these People and Their price is MSRP. Very Friendly and helpful. I live 300 miles from them and They sold to Me. I am very happy with Them. Note: They were in Streator Illinois but are now in Ottawa" . ME 04/02

"Believes in MSRP and done the deal over the phone with no hassles, got to the dealership and they stuck to the deal from our phone conversation didn't try to load extra's on or any surprises. Excellent service and very polite. A+ in my book." - BB 04/03

"Fantastic dealer. MSRP, no hassle, held  03 FXSTDSE till I could get there to see it then agreed to hold it until I could get back. I offered a deposit and they even said "Not necessary". 1st time buyer and they treated me w/ respect & not a bunch of hype, answered many a dumb question too. Highly recommend." - GS 11/03

"I bought a bike from Starved Rock HD this past summer. First off the salesmen at this dealer are great. The owners are wonderful people as well. Very nice, made me feel like I was part of a family. Since then I've had my bike in the Service Department for all my services and for other things like adding chrome and what not. The Service Department is SUPERB Man, the service manager and assistant service manager are GREAT people! They know there stuff. I know the assistant service manager rides because I've seen him out several times, and am pretty sure the service manager does as well. There technicians are young, but very qualified and know what they are doing! I could not be happier with there service! The entire dealership is great. Thanks SRHD!" - GB 01/04

SUBURBAN H-D
Palatine, IL

"I just purchased a 2000 Sportster 1200 Custom from Suburban H-D. They sell at MSRP plus dealer prep charge (about $250).  No waiting lists or deposits, first come first served.  Great service department.  Their allocation currently is mostly smaller bikes, sportsters and limited Dyna's (hard time getting softails).  All the bikes on the floor have a tag with "$x,xxx Out The Door" on them which is VERY helpful in quickly determining what kind of deal you're getting." - SG 11/99

"ok prices on bikes they sell but try to screw you on the trade. had a 2000 road glide with 5300 miles 17.5K out the door ( about 16.5k before taxes) but would only offer 13.5 k for a 99 road king with 8000 miles and about 1000 worth of mods (seat, pipes etc) that seems like an excessive amount of profit" - JC 6/01

"Visited all of the area dealers when I decided to by my 2001 Electra Glide Classic.  From the first time I spoke to them on the phone to when I visited the store to order my bike, these guys were always up front and honest with me.  Told them exactly what I wanted and said I was more than willing to wait.  They not only kept in touch with me, but on a few occasions, called to say they had a bike I could have if I was interested in changing my choice.  Paid MSRP and couldn't have been happier with the service and respect I got from them, and still continue to receive.   Great people...very friendly, honest, amicable, willing to work with you on what you want, great parts & service staffs.  No hidden agendas or costs with these folks as I found with some others in the area." - KZ 8/01

"I did not have a good experience with Suburban H-D. The folks behind the parts counter were very friendly, but that is where the friendly ness stopped.  Sales person was RUDE, CRUDE, And SOCIALLY unacceptable. If you do not wear a 3 piece suit don't expect much out of the sales dept. I'll spend my $20,000 elsewhere!" - GL 02/03

"Suburban was nothing but professional when I bought my bike there. They held my bike, and even put on the new pipes and filter I wanted with out asking for a dime. They sold it at sticker, the only way, and didn't charge for a sissy bar that was on it from someone not taking delivery earlier. They delivered my bike to my home, October purchase, and were helpful throughout. I could have asked for nothing more and am happy with choosing them as my dealer. In addition their support of Palatine HOG in outstanding and appreciated." - EB 06/03

"I live 5 miles from this dealer, and I would not Buy Oil from them. Unless you're in their local Hog, or a cop, no one knows anything. Service is a standard 2 to 3 weeks, if not a member. I bought 2 Screaming Eagle Spark Plugs for my Road king from them, installed them and they were different number plugs? Tried to returned them, and they said "2 different plugs in the same box, couldn't happen".  I said "could only happen here". They are the only HD Dealer that has the same old building and same old not-working sign for years and years. Every good HD Dealer that I see, has a new building or addition for new business." - BF 01/05
WALTER'S BROS. H-D
Peoria, IL
"Although I have never bought a bike from Walters Bros, they treat me just like I have bought one every year.  Excellent plus service department and the manager of it is a long long time employee of the dealership.  The parts people are great and go out of their way to get you the part and usually have the regular stuff in stock.  Large accessories selection and the floor sales people are wonderful to deal with.  I have heard they will sell at MSRP but I do not know that for a fact.  Most bikes sold were ordered with usually only a few in stock since the dealer does quite a few sales." - MC 8/01

"I went into the dealership being skeptical about purchasing a Harley, since I had never owned one. They went over all of the issues I had, helped me to feel at ease with the quality of Harley and there dealership. I bought my wife an 883R for a Christmas present, and bought myself a Low Rider on 1-18-02. I bought both bikes at MSRP, the 500 and 1000 mile services were included with the purchases. They also included 3 coupons, each one good for 1 hour free labor on the installation of accessories for each bike. Both bikes have been in for there 500 mile services and had a few accessories installed. They have a huge selection of accessories to choice from, along with a excellent inventory of apparel. I can't express how pleased I am with them. Everyone from the owner, cycle sales, the sales ladies, and the guys in the shop are very friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't consider buying my next Harley from anyone else. They have earned their "Gold Bar and Shield Circle of Excellence" awards." - DS 05/02

"Long story short:   After buying 2 Harley's here and my wife working there for over two years (with excellent working reviews) she was fired because I bought her a 750 Honda for her first bike. The owner and General manager said we were not loyal because I did not buy her a 883 like they wanted me to do." - AF 07/05

"I recently purchased a new FLSTCI from this dealer, and the entire transaction and follow up have been nothing but excellent.  I was treated as a valued customer by everyone at the dealership from parts man to service man to sales man. I purchased the bike new at MSRP, the dealer prep fee was waived, the labor to install stage 1, ECM remap and SEII mufflers was part of the package, and the 1000 hour service was free even with SYN3 oil. I was introduced to most of the staff, given the usual free T shirt and a kit with some Harley cleaning products. The business, including the service area, is immaculate. It was and is a pleasure to work with this dealership. I would recommend them to anyone." - TM 09/05

DANT'S H-D
Princeton, IL
"I purchased a 2001 Nighttrain from Dant's . They are an MSRP dealer and I was very satisfied with the service I was given .   They explained every thing about the bike in detail and made sure to answer any questions that I had about it. The sales people were very friendly and attentive to me and even the guys who were just there to help me load up the bike in the truck .  It's hard enough for a person to afford a Harley but people like those at Dant's make it much easier and the whole experience much more pleasant than some of the other dealerships who will gouge you for everything they can get out of you. I would gladly do business with them again and I recommend them to anyone considering purchasing a bike within the area that they serve." - DI 8/01
T-N-T H-D
Quincy, IL
"I can't believe nobody has entered comments on this SUPERB dealer. Being a Western Illinois native, I now live in Ohio, I traveled over 400 miles to purchase and ride my new FLHRCI home less that 2 years ago.  This dealership and the entire staff are top notch people and provide outstanding sales and service to ALL their customers. Not just a selected few. They sell all HD bikes and accessories at MSRP and have a great service department to support you after the sale. I was unable to do business with local OH dealers because of price gouging on my 2001 model so when it came time to help a friend buy a 2003 Screaming Eagle Deuce, we went right back to TNT. Please don't overlook these folks. They are terrific and work hard to earn your business." - MS 01/03

"Good luck making an appointment at this dealership.  expect a 6 week minimum wait.  Had recall work performed and while the bike was there they took it upon themselves to rebuild another item without consent. Was not made aware of the matter until I went to pick up the bike. The techs are well trained and do a good job.  They would be much better off if the service manager stopped looking at the bottom line and more towards customer service.  They tend to add a minimum of $2500 in accessories to all bikes before they make them available for sale. Don't go looking for common parts at this dealership, as they keep very few in stock.  They want  money up front before they will order any part.  This makes for quite a long wait , when you are trying to get a simple part such as a sensor etc." - KN 05/03

"On our return trip from the 100th to LA, I developed an oil leak on my bike. We had traveled from Milwaukee and heading to LA to pack up and return to NZ. The problem was a few bolts vibrating loose but after 1/2 hour of cleaning and checking the bike, the service manager said only $10, we could not believe it, everywhere else had parking rates higher. We were then invited to stay for the HOG meeting that night but had to keep moving to a time schedule. We will definitely be planning a stop there in 2008 for our scheduled service. The "Kiwis" are coming back!" - GE 03/04

"I bought my '05 FLHTI from TNT because all the St. Louis area dealers were charging over MSRP, some thousands over. I had decided up front that if I had to travel to get a better price, I'd do it. TNT offered the bike I wanted for MSRP plus $600 freight/setup and they were nice to deal with. On delivery day, their setup was not quite as thorough as I'd have hoped, but that won't stop me from buying there again." - TL 06/05

WORKMAN H-D
Rock Falls, IL
"I have been riding all over Europe now for several years last year I went into my "Local" Workmans HD in Sterling/Rock Falls while I was home visiting my folks, and I was treated like a King.  Everyone of the staff was super Cool and helpful they handed me a few "Trinkets" for my British Bikers Buds and were very helpful with my purchases. It's nice to know that kind of service still exists in "Small Town America". - TP 1/00

"I purchased my first Harley from Workman's in Dec 2002. They sell at MSRP plus $650.00 freight and setup. They sold to me even though I am from out of state. I live in Kansas City and the dealers here are overpriced and rude, with the exception of Central H-D. They just never have any bikes available. Ask for the owners when you call. They are extremely helpful and they both ride bikes." - SG 12/02

"I contacted them about a 2003 Ultra Classic (two-tone). They have been getting several calls about this bike. So they decided that all of a sudden they need to make more money on these bikes and go above MSRP. The reason I checked with them was on this site the comment they sell for MSRP only, no matter where you live. So this has changed all of a sudden.  I am having a hard time trying to understand why anybody would pay more than MSRP for any new Harley. Does everybody think they are going to get this back from the dealer when they get rid of this bike?  If everyone would realize this there would not be this price gouging going on these bikes. They wanted $1500.00 over MSRP because of all of the phone calls.  I told them thanks but no thanks." - CT 12/02

KEGEL M-CYCLE
Rockford, IL
"I went to Kegel to look at buying a 2003 Fatboy. When I asked the salesman if they had any coming in, he said they had one in the back and took me to look at the bike. When I asked him the price at first he said $23,000. The next time I asked him he said he’d have to look at his sheet but it was around 22,000. The last time I asked him he said he could sell it for $22,000 out the door. I was told by another dealer in the area that list for this bike is $18,600 w/security system. When I asked the salesman why the price was more he said they sell their bikes at market price. Thinking that maybe the price was higher because of the silver/black anniversary color scheme I asked about an all black bike. The salesman said that would be about $500.00 cheaper. I really wanted the bike and I was ready to buy right then but after hearing this I decided to hold off on the “privilege” of buying a bike from these guys." - ML 10/02

"I am looking for obsolete windshield parts for my '77 XLT, burning up the internet.  I sent an e-mail to Kegel with part numbers given me by two separate dealers.  I suspected they were the wrong numbers and "argued" with them both, but both INSISTED they were right, and two against one, I figured I must be wrong.  In the e-mail I asked the dealer to verify the numbers.  Five responses and only Kegel apparently bothered to double check.  They sent a thorough explanation of which parts were for which sub-model  - so they win the "Sharp Eyes/Good Service Award."  (Imagine that's one reason why they've stayed in biz so long!)  I really appreciated the catch.  Saved me an expensive mistake as I had just ordered the parts from another dealer - who admitted the error, although couldn't explain it.  And, no, Kegel didn't have the parts - so I'm still questing!" - BB 01/03

"Offered bikes only at MSRP (not over) and had the one I wanted on hand. Since it had do-dads I didn't want, they checked and had one coming in and would sell it bone stock if I wanted. Also, me recent trip included counter help that required a Drag Specialties purchase at cost. Competition from Kutter's in Janesville helps keep an honest business competitive." - TS 01/05

HALL'S H-D
Springfield, IL

"As the service manager at this dealer, I want to thank all our customers for their patience during the 100th anniversary ride through late this summer. We were one of the official stopovers and for several weeks we were buried in service work with people going in both directions. Emergency repairs for people traveling is a priority at our shop, but now that this 100th nonsense is history we can get back to serving OUR customers." - Hall's H-D 12/03

"Nothing but praise for this great dealership! I have purchased 2 bikes from them in the past two years and was lucky enough to deal with their friendly store manager for both purchases. The parts manager and the entire service department has treated me with a ton of patience and respect, no matter how much of a pain in the rear I was. This whole dealership has bent over backwards for my wife and I, and with continued service like this, they will be our dealer of choice for a long time." - KB 01/05
CHI-TOWN H-D
Tinley Park, IL

"I discovered an oil leak on my bike one week before the warranty ran out. I called the dealership and was told that they were busy, but I could bring the bike in and they would take a look at it but probably wouldn't have it back by the weekend. The next day I received a call saying my bike was ready. Not only did they fix the leak and a few other things I'd mentioned, but my bike was washed. They definitely went above and beyond." - CS 4/01

"The people at Homewood/Chi-Town have been extremely fair and good to me. I bought my bike there late last year and the have been great with later purchases. The sales staff was good to me and the ownership has always been available when I needed help and info. I would recommend this dealership, and I have." - FZ 5/01

ANDRAE'S H-D
Urbana, IL
"Been doing business there for 4 years always been treated well. Bikes sold list plus freight and set up. Bought a 96 sportster there new, have a 03 heritage softail ordered, if they didn't gouge me on that they wont gouge anyone on anything. Don't know what their policy is on selling outside their area service quality is good" - DK 11/99

"In Aug. '99, my buddy and I were on the way to Sturgis when we encountered some rain in Urbana, IL. and I had an accident.  I was OK but my bike was not, it had done a couple of end-overs and side-flips, the trip was over.  While I took a ride to the hospital in the ambulance my buddy took care of getting my bike towed.  He asked if there was a dealer close and they said that Andrae's HD was not far away so that's where they towed the bike.  My buddy picked me up at the hospital and took me to Andrea's, it was after 4pm but they stayed open until I got there.  The bike was a mess, they told me not to worry about it, to take my time and just to give them a call when I decided what to do with the bike, they were very accommodating.  I called a friend and asked him to fly up and pick me up at the local airport and one of the mechanics drove me to the airport almost 20 miles away. I called Andrae's that next week and told them to fix the bike, they called me within a few days and gave me the estimate, about $7500.00.  I told them to order the parts and they told me that it would be awhile getting the parts, I understood.  The service manager John was excellent, he kept me informed, he got the job done when he said he would and the bike was perfect, the mechanics did a fabulous job, their attention to detail was superb.  I was treated very well, I liked that a lot.  So, if you are passing through Urbana, IL. and you need something for your bike I would highly recommend Andrae's HD, they are super nice, I'm definitely stopping by this year on my way to Sturgis to say "Hi" but this time I will be "on" my bike." - JW 5/00

"One of the two screws that hold the switch housing/clutch lever vibrated loose while I was riding in town.  I limped it to ANDRAE'S H-D and went to the parts counter.  I told the parts manager what happened and he charged me 47 cents for the screw.  That was fine.  I asked for a torx head screwdriver and he told me that they did not have any tools and I needed to make an appointment.  He said he could not help me.  I complained to the owner and finally an irritated/pissed off mechanic huffed and puffed his way out to the parking lot.  He grumbled, "give me the screw, spend 10 seconds to tighten it and pouted as he walked away.  I dropped so much money there and I will never step foot inside that store ever again.  I can't believe the parts manager wanted me stranded and charge me labor on a 47 cent screw?  What a stealer." - CD 09/05
WILDFIRE H-D
Villa Park, IL

"Was quoted $21K for a pearl Y2K FLSTF out the door which comes to about $19.7K before sales tax. Would not take a deposit to order one for next year delivery. There must be some people willing to pay $4K over list but I'll shop elsewhere." - DP 9/99

"...quoted me $21,000 out the door for a 2000 FXSTB Night Train which they had on the floor for about 3 days, and $21,500 out the door for a Fat Boy.  Prices on sportsters were between $10,000-$12,500." - SG 11/99

"H-D of Villa Park is now under new ownership and management.  We acquired the dealership on March 30, 2001.  The ownership is comprised of Riders with an all new focus in the customer and on servicing Motorcycles.  Please give us us an opportunity show you our new look, feel and attitude.  Open House:  May 12-13, 2001." - VP H-D 4/01

"They were advertising that they had 2002 models on the floor and to "Call for Price". I did and found that they are marking up at a minimum of $1000 on the lower end models, and up to $3000 on the big V-twins. So much for the "new ownership, give us a try" story." - GB 8/01

"These guys have no idea what list price is. Went there & was quoted $3500 over MSRP for a Road King...no thanks." - GP 03/02

"There parts department has yet to give me the right part I requested. I'll drive an extra 10 miles to another dealer." - TS 06/02

"Had had some very bad dealings with the previous owners and swore my shadow would never darken that dealerships door again.  Found out there were new owners so gave 'em a shot and after a few visits I purchased a new 2002 FLHTCUI.  The sales guy worked his butt off to make the deal and I felt they all bent over backwards to make it work.  $1500.00 over MSRP but had Stage 1, security, Samson pipes, lots of extra chrome. Felt good!!  Only complaint I had was with the service department on my first visit for service.  Felt like the dealership/service of old but the service manager and other owners made good their commitment REAL fast and got things right.  I would highly recommend if you've had a problem see any of the owners and they'll make it right." - SM 10/02

WOODSTOCK H-D
Woodstock, IL

"Very nice, helpful, appreciative people. Excellent service department. Outrageous prices though." - TM  9/99

"I just bought a new ultra classic from Woodstock Harley. They have a great selection of chrome accessories. They were very helpful with assisting me in financing the bike. They have a HUGE selection of used bikes and they were moderately priced. They have a fantastic service department. I was very impressed. I've been to many other Harley dealers in the Chicagoland area over the years and I would recommend Woodstock H-D over any of them.  I also wanted to thank hawgeye.com for running such a good website. Your site was most helpful in me finding a good dealership." - JM 2/00

"I went to Woodstock for their annual open house 2 weeks ago.  great store if you don't want to buy a bike and just want merchandise. bike prices ridiculous. 99 road king with 8k miles 21k, I don't think so." - JC 03/02

"This dealership is anywhere from $500 to 3000 over list on a basic bike. Also they like to install every available chrome part on the bikes on the floor & the price is greatly enhanced by this tactic." - GP 03/02

"I been shopping at Woodstock ever since it changed hands. This is a really good store. I bought new stock bikes with no extras. The sales department treats you great, and you always get a bunch of stuff (free) when you buy the new bike. WSHD service continues to meet my needs, and if something's not right they'll go to bat for you if HD seems reluctant. I was leaving for a long road trip on Saturday morning. On Friday night as I went to tank up I couldn't get the gas lid open. I zoomed over to WSHD, after the store was closed, but the management that was there took care of me. He replaced the lock no charge, and I was on my way for the long trip. This is a great bunch of people." - GS 12/02
